This letter is to inform you of some filming that is planned on Friday 3 rd September, on the Brandon Estate. Whilst the majority of our filming will take place within the Community Centres, there will also be an element on the Estate itself. In order to facilitate the filming, temporary parking restrictions will be in place on the following roads: Hillingdon Street & Cooks Road this is to park a number of our equipment vehicles. There will also be security and members of the locations team on-site before, after, and during filming, so please do not hesitate to speak to them if you have any issues during that time. FILMING DATES PREPARATION FILMING 0800–1800: Wednesday, 1 st September (Interior) 0800-1800 hours: Friday, 3 rd September 0800-1800: Thursday, 2 nd September (Interior) 0700-14:00: Friday, 3 rd September (Interior / Exterior) RE-INSTATEMENT 1800-2000 hours: Friday, 3 rd September (interior / Exterior) 0800–1800: Saturday, 4 th September (interior) PARKING SUSPENSIONS / TRAFFIC CONTROL Due to the period nature of our filming, with our scenes set in the 1990s, and to help facilitate our filming, we have been granted permission by Southwark Council to suspend some of the resident parking bays on the estate and surrounding streets. To minimise disruption and the number of residents bays we will be using, we will also be parking some of our smaller vehicles on the grass area outside Prescott House. On our filming day (3 rd September) we will be operating intermittent traffic control on Cooks Road. This will be managed by a certified traffic management company with emergency vehicle access being maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will also be maintained throughout, although during filming periods this may be controlled. 0800 – 1800: Friday, 3 rd September Please note that we are working in full accordance with Government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Our crew are all being tested multiple times per week and will only be allowed to work if tested negative. We will be instigating social distancing and sanitising whilst working and crew will be working in respective “bubbles” with face masks on at all times. We will have a COVID team monitoring this throughout. We have been liaising closely with Southwark Film Office and the TRA who are aware and happy with our plans, and every effort will be made to ensure that we cause you as little disturbance as possible during the time we are in the area. We are also acutely conscious that we are coming into your neighbourhood, please be assured that we will be respectful and courteous throughout. We will also be making a donation to the TRA to go towards future community events. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
