South Coastal Health and Community Services was founded 25 years ago to support the physical and mental health needs of women, families and the unique, diverse communities in the Cities of Rockingham, Kwinana and surrounding areas.

Since its humble beginnings, we have grown in size and have gained a respectable reputation in the south coastal corridor of Perth through a professional, friendly team who are hopeful and bring their best.

Aussie Optimism is a resilience building program to help children build coping skills and their self-esteem by learning new skills around decision-making, communication, negotiation, stressful situations and making good connections with their peers and others.

Are your children anxious and struggling to overcome stressful family situations?

Tree of Life for Children is a resilience building group program for children who have been exposed to stressful family environments. It is a relaxed, fun and creative therapeutic group facilitated by professionals with a focus on protective behaviours, emotional resilience and self-esteem.

2 SIMPLE STEPS TO ENTER OUR SERVICE Make an appointment with

your GP and discuss with them your mental health and areas of concern, and request a Mental Health Plan (Item 2710). This plan allows you to access Medicare Rebate for 10 appointments, which gives you back most of the cost. Bulk Billing available for concession card holders.

Creche ServiceOur Kid’s Place staff come with a wealth of experience to provide a safe and caring environment to leave your child whilst you attend your appointment or group.

This service is run by Early Childhood Educators, so we are also able to offer advice and support with parenting and child behaviours.
