Every basin in the Alape line is pressed individually from a seamless sheet of steel before being fired with a rich glass enamel glazing known as Ceramostahl. With SONDO, Alape presents a new series of basins that transform the everyday ritual of washing into a sensual experience. Made of 3mm glassed steel, SONDO combines functionality, quality and purist design into aesthetic form.

The range which was developed in cooperation with Gerhard Busalt, is a fusion of the classic bowl shape with the modern, purist form of the cylinder. Its proportions give the impression of a counter basin that almost levitates above the benchtop. Despite the reduced dimensions, this basin does not compromise on functionality. The deep form and generous diameter of the basin make for comfortable handling and use.

STEPThe traditional basin is revolutionised with the introduction of the elegant and innovative Step. The geometric form of this distinctive basin features a stepped area on one side where the basin’s depth has been split into two levels.
