To Mary Came Gabriel

Dec. 12, 2010 – Kiahk 3, 1727 AM

Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

And behold, you will conceive in your womb

and bring forth a Son,

and shall call His name JESUS.

He will be great!

He will be called the Son of the Highest.

God will give Him the throne of His father David.

And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom

there will be no end.

How can this be, since I do not know a man?

The HOLY SPIRIT will come upon you,

And the Power of the Highest will

overshadow you;

Therefore, the Holy One who is to be born will be called

the Son of God.

Behold the maidservant of

the Lord!

Let it be according to your

word.

To Mary Came Gabriel

To Mary came Gabriel,

To a village in Galilee:

And told her "God be with you,

O Mary peace be with you." (2)

Hail O favored one on earth,

You will bear Jesus the Christ;

And His name Emmanuel,

Means the Lord is with us. (2)

In the manger the Lord was born,

The heaven is His throne,

On the hay was His bed,

Christ the King He laid His head. (2)

The angels of the heavenly host,

Praised the Lord for His birth,

Glory to God in the highest,

And peace be on earth.
