As a service to campus users – to make it easier for them to enter their payroll related schedules for 2016, AJS team members Barbara Vanden Borre and Steve Hunter with the invaluable analyses done by Maxine Gerber, were able to pre-load fix-dated and ‘predict’ certain payroll activities schedules for Hosted Campuses.

Thank you Maxine for AJS. This is the first time this attempt was successful and resulted in a more timely submission of the New Year’s schedules to Berkeley PCSSC for scheduling. She was commissioned to perform rigorous analyses of AJS data and identify patterns based on previous year’s activities; a feat previously tried but was not successful. Maxine came up with formulas that were the essential foundation of the ‘predictive’ scheduling.

This is a huge coordination feat and Barbara was able to lead each campus through the processes.

What I admire and appreciate about each team member is their display of commitment to making this work! There were multiple diagnostic calls, repetitive questions and processes, and seemingly endless errors that were happening. Everyone stayed supportive and focused on resolving each and every issue that we faced. Despite all the challenges, all the infrastructure issues were resolved. We ended up going with Plan B (another operating system). I truly appreciate the patience and tenacity each member exhibited at this time. The project would not have been able to go live without these folks!
