May 12, 2015 – Transaction Network Services (TNS) is taking centre stage at the Cards &

Payments Conference in Melbourne next week when it showcases its latest two new payments

solutions and a senior executive plays a major role in the conference agenda.

Delegates will be able to learn more about TNS’ new Global Wireless Access product, which is

a multi-carrier, wireless roaming SIM solution designed specifically for wireless point-of-sale

terminals. This is the first time the service will be showcased following its official launch just a

few weeks ago.

Alongside Global Wireless Access will be TNSLink, a portfolio of retail, kiosk and ATM solutions

which has recently been enhanced to include 4G/LTE network support across Asia and

Australasia.

“We’re delighted to be taking such an active role in this year’s event,” said Lisa Shipley,

Executive Vice President and General Manager of TNS’ Payment Network Solutions, who will

be speaking on the Identity, Payment Security and Fraud in the Digital World panel at 12:20pm

on Wednesday 20th May. “This is a great forum, bringing together important players from across

the industry to participate in valuable discussions which will help us to advance the payments

infrastructure across this important market.”

Launched to the Asia Pacific region during April, Global Wireless Access provides secure and

reliable payment-specific wireless connectivity in over 150 countries around the world. Helping

to mitigate single carrier blackspots, the solution adds much needed reliability to wireless

terminal deployments, enhancing the operation and management of terminal fleets for

processors and acquirers. Performance and reliability are further enhanced by TNS’ optional

Roam+ terminal application which provides quality of service based carrier selection along with

easy to use features to enable estate owners to minimise merchant impact due to poor

wireless coverage in any given area.

TNSLink for ATMs enables ATM operators to use next generation, bandwidth sensitive

applications. The addition of 4G/LTE support will help protect investments in ATM networks as

telecommunications operators rapidly migrate from 2G to 3G and 4G networks while operators

in Australia work hard to keep up with the impending EMV mandates in 2015. TNSLink currently

connects tens of thousands of ATMs across the world, using 2G and 3G carriage, and is now

also able to support 4G speeds and frequencies as each market goes live with LTE.

With a strong payments heritage and more than 20 years of expertise, TNS now provides

services in more than 60 countries across Europe, the Americas and the Asia Pacific regions.

TNS is a Level 1 PCI DSS certified service provider and its secure network is supported

24x7x365 by its Network Operating Centres around the world. For more information about TNS,
