TMS Web is a browser-based application using Microsoft’s Internet Information Server (IIS). It uses Microsoft’s SQL Server for the database, which can bepurchased or leased. Users connect to TMSWeb through Internet Explorer (IE) or other industry standard browsers. This application is perfect for largeorganizations, companies with multiple sites, or companies whose IT strategy is thin client. Conversion programs are available to publish existing documentsautomatically on the web server, enabling you to be up and running quickly (master list is required). TMSWeb is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant for companiesthat are required to meet FDA regulations. This product is a great alternative to high-end document management systems.

TMS Enterprise is a 32-bit client-server application written in Visual Basic using Microsoft Access for the database. A small client is quickly installed on thedesktop, which gives you access to the database on the network. This is an easy-to-use system that requires minimal IT support, and is designedfor plants and smaller corporate environments or departments within larger corporations.

TMS Lite is a standalone application that has all the same functionality of TMS Enterprise except that it is for a single user. This application is perfect for thecompany on a limited budget that wants its documents and training records organized and easily accessible. Future upgrading to the Enterprise version iseasy because there are no changes to the local clients. TMSLite can be installed on the network for use by other users; however, only one user at a timecan access the system.
