Pre-Mixed Polymer Modified Key Coat...Conmix Concrete Rush Coat is a dry pre-mixed mineral based bondingcoat to apply directly on smooth concrete walls and ceilings. It providesa mechanical key for subsequent layers of cement and Gypsum basedplasters. Laborious hacking of concrete is no more necessary.

APPLICATION METHOD
BACKGROUND PREPARATION
The fair-faced concrete background should be thoroughly cleaned devoid of dust, loose particles,
wood pieces, mould oil etc. The suction in the background should be neutralised by applying clean
potable water. Free water on the surface should be allowed to disperse before spraying CRC to
avoid debonding later on.
MIXING
CRC, supplied in 50 kg bags has to be
mixed with potable water only, in a clean
plastic bucket or a clean non-corrosive,
uncontaminated metal tub. To ensure a
homogeneous and uniform mix, an electric
agitator must be used.
The amount of water to be added is 9.0 litres
per 50 kg bag (Le. approx. 18% by weight).
Add the CRC to water, turn the contents of
the bag carefully adding small amounts at a
time and stir frequently. Once mixed, allow to
stand for 5 minutes and mix again before
spraying. No further water should be added
to the mix. Hard and set plaster should not
be re-mixed.
CRC APPLICATION
The mixed CRC should be sprayed on to the
prepared background using a tyrolean box
or a power pattern spray gun. CRC should
not be applied using a trowel. Spray an
entire prepared area and allow some time
for the applied CRC to stiffen before
doubling back. Ensure that the applied CRC
covers the entire surface area. A rough
texture is to be obtained to provide a
mechanical key for the subsequent coat of
plaster.
Conmix demonstration team shall assist in
these procedures upon request.
SPECIAL NOTES
The applied CRC should be water cured for
a period of 3 days and allowed to harden.
For application procedures in case of
concrete containing microsilica, curing
compound or any special additive or special
building materials, kindly contact Conmix
technical department for assistance.
