Name City

Hi from Nat’l. Chevy, As I write this we are preparing to do the “Back to the 50’s” car show here at our fairgrounds. Last year there were over 11,000 1964 and older vehicles in attendance. It gets to be a real spectacle. Watching the night cruisin’ is the best. Too bad they stopped the flame throwing – that was awesome. When our grandkids were small, they would dress up in their poodle skirt outfits and saddle shoes and hold up a sign that said, “Honk if you like cute chicks in poodle skirts.” We always had a lot of fun sitting on the curb listening to the horns. The drivers always got a kick out of it too. It has warmed up a lot here and we actually got up to 100° with humidity. I don’t like winter, but it was way too hot for me that day. I hope you enjoy your new catalog. There are a lot of new parts, along with the old ones. Don’t forget to place a small order to renew your membership, as it will expire at the end of August. Maybe you can find a new part or two to purchase. Time to go – smashed my hand in a car door at a car show last weekend and it’s a bit hard to use yet. So, ‘til next time......

Cover Car I am sending you some pictures of my 1954 Chevy. I completed it this November, 2010. Ihaveworkedonthecarforapproximatelyfiveyears. I did all the body work and painting in my ga-rage. I installed a 1982 250 6-cyl. Chevy engine with three-speedonthefloor.IalsoinstalledaCamarorearend. Rayco did the interior for me.

I want to thank National Chevy Assoc. for all the help you gave me during the restoration; you had most of the parts I needed, and the tech help was great.

Thanks againAubrey McClureNewark, DE
