Straitscapes as more than your average photography show, aims to draw you into its story. As told through diary style excerpts, you embark on a journey alongside a man as he reflects upon his ever-changing lover. This deeply personal tale details the characteristic relationship cycle of highs and lows between romantic partners. What sets it apart is that the story is unfolding between the writer as the land of Vancouver Island, and his lover as the Strait of Juan de Fuca. As the tale ebbs and flows along with the many faces of the Strait, these are revealed in the photographs which capture the incredible beauty where land meets ocean.

The show will be complimented by live music as community sessions are scheduled between 4:00pm and 5:00pm every day as well as 12:00pm to 1:00pm on the weekend. Show runs 10:00am to 4:00pm May 24th to 30th at ArtSea Gallery (9565 Fifth St, Sidney, BC). Admission is free.

Prints and other merchandise will be available for purchase.
