Dr Andrea Baldini was born in Florence in 1971, where he studied Medicine and specialized in orthopaedics and traumatology (Director Paolo Aglietti). He spent a year as a fellow in hip and knee reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York (Cornell University, 2003-2004) and also undertook the Knee Society’s John N. Insall Travelling Fellowship in October 2007. He is now an orthopaedic surgeon renown for hip and knee arthroplasty and institute director at IFCA Clinic in Florence. He is specialized in difficult primaries and revision cases with a special interest in advanced medical care for arthroplasty patients.He is a member of several societies such as: Florentin Orthopaedics Society, Italian Knee Society, Italian Orthopaedic Society, Hospital Special Surgery Alumni, John Insall Club.
Qualified in 1978 from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). Did an MD in 1985 and in 1988/9 did an arthroplasty and then a trauma fellowship in Wrightington and Toronto respectively. Appointed as a consultant in Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast in 1990. In 2011 appointed honorary Professor QUB. Is a high volume primary hip and knee replacement surgeon and has maintained a keen interest in research throughout his career with over 95 PubMed publications.
Dr Michel Bonnin is a French surgeon born in Dijon in 1960, married with two children. He has built his entire career in Lyon: being a resident in the 80’s at Lyon University Hospitals, Chief of Clinic under Prof. Henry Dejour, Assistant Professor at university, to later become an orthopaedic surgeon in the early 90’s, currently active at the Centre Orthopédique Santy (Lyon). He is specialized in lower limb arthroplasty- hip, knee and ankle joint replacement. He performs approximately 500 to 600 joint arthroplasty cases each year. He has a keen interest in clinical research, implant development and worldwide professional education.He is currently President of the French Hip and Knee Society (SFHG). One of his latest publications (all available on Pubmed): “Morphometric analysis of the distal femur in total knee arthroplasty and native knees” (Bonnin MP, Saffarini M, Bossard N, Dantony E, Victor J. Bone Joint J. 2016).

Dr Jean-Louis Briard is a French orthopaedic surgeon specialised exclusively in the knee and its prosthetic replacement (sports and degenerative). His remarkable career path, embracing a Harvard residency and many visits to China and other countries throughout Asia, makes him a surgeon who personifies globalisation. In 1981 he was appointed in Rouen where he started a private practice, counting about 800 cases a year.He has an impressive list of articles, teaching and lectures in the field. He is currently involved in education in China and India with his former residents and participates to retrospective multicentre studies in France.
Dr. Douglas Dennis is a graduate of Ohio State University and currently a Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Denver and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He has a keen interest in knee arthroplasty which has resulted in two decades of study of the kinematics of knee replacement and how it relates to total knee arthroplasty design. This research has generated numerous publications in the orthopedic literature. He is the past president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and Knee Society, a member of the Hip Society, and serves as Executive Director of Operation Walk Denver, an organization committed to performing free joint replacement in developing countries for those patients without access to medical care.

Dr Jerry Kieffer is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Kannerklinik Luxembourg and a consultant in pediatric spine surgery at Brussels Hôpital Universitaire des Enfants Reine Fabiola.He is a Scoliosis Research Society fellow with a special interest in growing spine deformity treatment.

Kelly George David Vince, M.D., FRCS (C) is an orthopaedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (CCD) of Wellington & Wairarapa in New Zealand. He was educated at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA) and got his medical degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine (Montreal, Quebec), where he later become an intern and resident. He did his fellowship in the knee service of the Hospital For Special Surgery in New York. In 2003-2004 he was awarded one of the “Best Doctors in America” (Woodward/White, Inc). His studies in progress: “Preoperative evaluation of the failed total knee arthroplasty: current practice in a regional medical centre”, Whangarei Hospital.
Graduated in 1980 by the University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg.Specialized in medicine and biology applied to Sport in 1981 and specialized in Orthopaedic and Traumatology in 1986. Head Surgeon of the trauma department at the Traumatology Hospital in Strasbourg from 1986 to 2006, and since this date, surgeon at University Hospital of Strasbourg.Founding member with I. Kempf and A. Grosse of the Association Internationale pour l’Ostéosynthèse Dynamique (AIOD) in 1986. President of the Association from 2000 until today. Co-founding member of the OTCF (Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care Foundation) in 2007.abroad.
Charles Msika, M.D. M.Sc., is a dual citizen U.S. and French Orthopaedic Surgeon following a complete training and being Chief of Clinics at Paris Cochin Hospital. He was John Insall’s Fellow in the very early 80’s and worked as an Attending Surgeon and Professor of Orthopaedics at N.Y. Mount Sinai Hospital up to the end of the 80’s. He started a private practice in Paris in the early 90’s mostly devoted to Hip and Knee Replacements.He is currently Member of the John Insall’ Club, N.Y.HSS Ambassador to France, Communication Officer of the French Academy of Orthopaedics (SoFCOT) and Editorial Board Member of the Elsevier Journal “Orthopaedics-Traumatology, Surgery & Research” (O.T.S.R.).
