Safety information

This document contains information about andlocation of the different types of stored energy(e.g., pyrotechnical, fuel, and electric voltage)found in Volvo's different models. All emergencyservices personnel should be familiar with thisdocument to avoid accidental activation orignition during rescue actions. The informationis not exact, it shall be regarded as general.The information shown applies to left-hand drivecars. On right-hand drive vehicles, certain partsmay have reversed positions.

Warning!  For emergency servicespersonnel: Disconnect the battery and waitat least 30 seconds before starting work onthe vehicle. This is to prevent inadvertentactivation of pyrotechnical SRS components.

Note!  For emergency service personnel:Applies to vehicles with electrical drivelines:Only disconnect the 12-volt battery, this alsodisconnects the high voltage system.

Note!  Do not touch high-voltagecomponents.

Note!  Hardness in the members may varybetween different models. In illustrationswhere several models appear with the samebody structure, the variant with the hardestmaterial is always shown.
