[Title] How to update BKM-FW50 Firmware for ver4.09 (image_debug ver4.12) [Object Serial Range] 2000001 ~ 2007569 After this serial number, the unit is applied F/W ver.4.09

[The purpose of update] 1) Adaptation for GXD-L52H1.

2) Display can not operate “AUTO Adjust” during “Loading” picture with BKM-FW50.

This problem is improved by this new Firmware update.

-> Add white outline frame during “Loading” picture.

[Equipment] 1) PC Connected with LAN

2) Monitor (Depends on combination between FW50 and applicable monitor)

[Details] <Before Update>

・ Combine BKM-FW50 with applicable monitor, and then set IP Address.

Refer to each manual about how to connect and to set IP Address.

・ Obtain the Firmware updater program

[Procedure]

[1] Preparation

(0) Preparation for PC ① Copy files to your PC as follows;

1) Firmware updater.exe

2) vxWorks_ver4.09.rom : Streaming Updater file

3) image_debug_fw50_v412.rom : Network Updater file

4) updater_fw50_v400.rom : Network Application file

5) bootloader_fw50_v309.rom : Network Application file

*For 4) 5) : if the version is the same or upper than above, you don’t need them.

② Cancel “Windows Firewall”, if it is installed.

( How to cancel it )

Start menu Setting Control panel Select the “Windows Firewall”

Click the “No effective”

(1) Setting FW50 to option1 slot of Monitor.

(2) Confirm IP Address

Please write down this IP Address to memo

(3) Start up “Internet Explorer”.

(4) Input http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and “Enter”.

“xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” is IP Address number you get by (2).

(If the first letter is “0” (ex: 043), please ignore the unmber”0”.)

If the below picture is displayed, it is succeeded.

(5) After inputting http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/service and “Enter”, you’re required to input

“User name” and “Password”. Refer to the below picture.

Input username and password. User Name: service

Pass word: fwd_series *Attention: Input small letters

(6) The following picture will be got on PC monitor after words.

Then click “Update” on the menu bar.

[2] Streaming Update

(7) Select “Streaming Controller”. Refer to the below picture.

(8) Then click “Apply” on the menu bar in order to move “Flash write mode”

Refer to the below picture.

(9) Picture of “Flash Write Mode” is as follow.

(10) Start (Double click) “Firmware updater.exe“.

Input “IP Address” set by (2) and then click “Search”. Refer to the below picture.

(11) Another window appear on firmware updater. Refer to the below picture.

(12) After few minutes, “Model Name” “Serial No.” and “IP Address” are found

automatically. And then click “OK”

(13) Information of “Information Display” is showing. Then click “Next”

=======Additional information from (10) to (13)=======

If you cannot come to (13) as the Network connection is bad,

Please try to do the way as below; ( It doesn’t need, if you come to (13))

① Repeat from (2) to (5), and click the “information” as follows picture.

② Please write down IP Address data to memo for “IP Address(Controller)” and

“IP Address(Player)”.

③ Repeat from (6) to (9),

and input the IP address data of “IP Address(Player)” at (10).

----ATTENTION----

Use “IP Address(Player)” data for “Streaming update”.

Use “IP Address(Controller)” data for “Network update” which explain later.

④ Crick “Next” and continue to (14).

=======That’s all for additional information=======

(14) Select “NETWORK” from “Firmware”, and then click “Browse”.

Refer to the below picture.

(15) Select “Streaming” and “vxWorks_ver 4.09.rom” and click “Open”.

(16) Needed firmware is selected on “File”. Then click “Next”.

(17) Click “Update”.

(18) Update is started with following picture.

* Do not touch anywhere during this process. It might be cause of defect or might not finish the update.

(19) When the below picture is displayed, click “Restart” and “Finish” to finish “Firmware

updater”. (If you don’t click “Restart”, you cannot do well at the next update process)

(20) Close internet browser on you PC

[3] Network Update (21) Repeat from (3) to (6)

(22) Select Network Management.

(23) Repeat from (8) to (14).

(24) Select “image_debug_fw50_v412.rom” and “and click “Open”.

(25) Perform process from (16) to (19)

(26) Close internet browser on you PC.

＊ ver.4.00, bootloader：ver.3.09 ] you need to continue below procedure.

7) repeat from (21) to (23)

8) Select “updater_fw50_v400.rom” and “and click “Open”.

(30) Close internet browser on you PC.

(31) repeat from (21) to (23)

(32) Select “bootloader_fw50_v309.rom” and “and click “Open”.

(33) Perform process from (16) to (19)

(34) Close internet browser on you PC.

(35) Confirm version below after performance from (4) to (6)
