Title: if we could have unswerving aim until the last moment.

    2 Kings 14:1-7

1 In the second year of Joash the son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel, Amaziah the son

of Joash, king of Judah, became king. 2 He was twenty-five years old when he

became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mothers namewas Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. 3 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD,

yet not like his father David; he did everything as his father Joash had done. 4

However the high places were not taken away, and the people still sacrificed and

burned incense on the high places.5 Now it happened, as soon as the kingdom was established in his hand, that he

executed his servants who had murdered his father the king. 6 But the children of

the murderers he did not execute, according to what is written in the Book of the

Law of Moses, in which the LORD commanded, saying, Fathers shall not be put to

death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; but a

person shall be put to death for his own sin.[a]7 He killed ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt, and took Sela by war, and

called its name Joktheel to this day.

    Revelation 22:13

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

How good it would be if we could live our life with an unswerving belief until the last

    moment!

However, it is not easy to live all of ones life with an unswerving belief until the lastminute.

That is clear when we look back our life this year at this time of finishing year 2010.

We have spent the rapidly changing year this year and we are standing at the near

    the end of the year.

From time frame wise, there is not much difference between the last day of the

year Dec. 31 and the New Years day, however, when we draw the division of time

it is distinguished as old and new.

When we finish a days work, it becomes a model for finishing a year and finishing a

year symbolizes completion of ones life.

This year that began on January 1st is now about to finish.

Likewise, our life too has an end.

If we lived faithfully throughout our life, then we would not have fear.

If we lived all of our life with an unswerving belief until the eleventh hour, then

there could be no fear for us.

Like the Apostle Paul who said in 2 Timothy 4:7-8, if we have fought the good fight

and have finished the race and have kept the faith, if we have such firm belief then

there is nothing we should worry about or fear for.

Rather, we would firmly believe that there is laid up for me the crown of

righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that Day.

Truly, it is touching scene, isnt it?

Finishing one year is the same as finishing our whole life.

The reason being is one day is accumulated to make one year and one year is

accumulated to make our whole lifetime.

One year is a short period of time and it could a long period of time, but if we pass

away time were given from God meaninglessly and do not realize Gods grace upon

us, then it could be incomparably boring time.

When I spread out my whole life before God and try to organize, indeed, can I

become sons and daughters of God who can be praised by God that I have donegood?

My beloved saints, we must each day uprightly before God.

Truly, honestly, and diligently! We must spend every day of our life.

We must live as if we are living the last day of our life.

    Proverbs 27:1

1 Do not boast about tomorrow,

For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

If today is the last day and there is no tomorrow for us, then we cannot even make

    excuses for ourselves, right?

As you live breathing on this earth until this day, you could not truly live your life

doing the work which God rejoices in, could you?

Have you listened to the Word of God attentively?

When you heard the Word of God, did you understand it clearly and make notes

    properly?

Have you praised before God with all your heart and soul?

God said He will give to those who believe and ask Him, but have we prayed to God

believing God with all our heart? No, right?

Not praying to God is living a life that is far from God.

As we search through the whole Bible, either it be an individual, family or nation,

when they departed from God, nothing worked out for them.

We must live everyday as if we are living the last day of our life.

It is about time we must organize and arrange our life until today.

    Hebrews 9:27

27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.

Like this Scripture, our life is not like sports game where theyre given many

chances to win, but our life is only once given for us to live from the moment we

are born to the moment we die.

Through the message youre given today, God is telling you to think about it deeply

why your life is so important.

Living our life is constructing our self.

The question is whether we have constructed ourselves well enough while we live

several tens of years until now.

On the last day of my life, I should not make my soul and myself a bankrupt.

Today, one thing I want to emphasize to you is that in life, beginning is important

but what much more important is ending.

I heard the stories from pilots and they told me when operating an airplane, the

moment the plane takes off and the moment it lands are the most dangerous and

    the most important moments.

Even in a race, the beginning is important, but it is more important when we come

    to the finish line, right?

An unswerving belief, have you given all your heart for the purpose youve aimed

for in the beginning? Have you given all your soul and mind? Have you given your

    best?

What I am asking is whether youve been living this year with an unswerving belief

    until the last moment.

We had started this year decently.

Have your prayers answered when you prayed before God with determination?

Were they not fizzled out as you idled time away?

Please do not hear this as the word of Rev. Oh, but think as if you are standing

before God. Are you not ashamed to stand before God without any fruits that you

    bore?

I hope you think this day as the day given to you from God as the last opportunity

    for great awakening and repentance.

    Revelation 3:2

2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I

have not found your works perfect before God.

God is warning toward the church in Sardis.

    [Joint Translation]

    Therefore be awakening.

Before the things which remain in you die completely, strengthen them.

It means when life is not yet cut off and your pulse is beating you are like a dead

    body.

Your hands are dead, feet are dead, eyes are dead and your consciousness is all

    dead.

This was the look of the church in Sardis.

What about you? Are you not dead like the church in Sardis? Your eyes, your ears

and your mouths; are they not all dead?

You cannot serve God, you cannot go out and evangelize and you could not even

    come to church, could you?

Your life is not cut off yet and your pulse is still beating, however, your hands, your

feet and your eyes and your consciousness are all dead state, arent they?

You are gasping and panting and youre about to die, but only God sees you and

    yourself do not realize that.

be awakening; the meaning of this Word in original Hebrew language isbe wide

awake!wake up from the state youre in right now!

It means there is no excuse you can make.

I hope you all live again by awakening today.

For one year, our eyes, ears, hands and feet are all dead, but God saw that your

heart is still beating. That is why God is saying you can live.

    1. If the beginning was good then the end must also good in order to live all our

    life with an unswerving belief.

When we examine assessments of the kings in Gods redemptive series, there

are good kings and wicked kings whereas there are the most wicked kings aswell.

Also, in some cases, a king was a good king in the beginning, but ended up

being a wicked one. Examples of these are king Joash, Amaziah and Assaria and

these kings could not live all their life with an unswerving belief.

King Amaziah started off well before the sight of God.

  • 7/29/2019 Title 86

    6/15

2 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-

    nine years in Jerusalem.

    2 Kings 14:3

3 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like his father

David; he did everything as his father Joash had done.

In verse 2 Kings 14:5, Now it happened, as soon as the kingdom was

established in his hand, that he executed his servants who had murdered his

    father the king.

From this we can predict that he reigned uprightly before God in the beginning,

however, later on not with a loyal heart.

    2 Chronicles 25:2

2 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a loyal heart.

King Ahaziah resembled his father king Joash and he ended up being a wicked

king even thought he started off as a good king.

King Joash was the eighth king of Judah and while he reigned for 40 years he

did many good things including religious reform, however, later on the king

worshipped idols which God despises the most and brought about Gods wrath

    upon Judah and Jerusalem.

    2 Chronicles 24:18

18 Therefore they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served

wooden images and idols; and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem because

    of their trespass.

    2 Kings 12:2-3

2 Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the LORD all the days in which

    Jehoiada the priest instructed him. 3 But the high places were not taken away;

the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

  • 7/29/2019 Title 86

    7/15

King Jehoash whose beginning was good but whose end was bad died a tragic

    death by a rebellion.

    2 Chronicles 24:25

25 And when they had withdrawn from him (for they left him severely wounded),

his own servants conspired against him because of the blood of the sons[a] of

Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died. And they buried him

in the City of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.

Although Amaziah witnessed all this tragic end of his father, he did not turn

away from his fathers way but he resembled exactly what his father did and by

doing that brought about Gods wrath and ended up with the same tragedy as

    his father.

    2 Chronicles 25:27-28

27 After the time that Amaziah turned away from following the LORD, they made

a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish; but they sent

after him to Lachish and killed him there. 28 Then they brought him on horses

and buried him with his fathers in the City of Judah.

Amaziah too did what was right in the sight of the Lord in the beginning, but he

turned away from following God and did many wicked deeds.

Those who turn away from God have tragic ends.

I am not talking about past history.

Have you ever turned away from God in your heart from the beginning of this

    year until now?

Even if it is only one day today! Let us repent that and greet the new year to

    come.

The people did not mourn for the king when he died. If you despise the Word of

God and do not believe in God properly even though our God is living, you and

    your family become like this.

On this earth, truly there are many things happening that are impossible to

    understand.

If a father destroyed family by drinking habit, then his son would avoid drinking

too much, however, the son follow exactly what his father did and become a

    drunkard and die of hepatocirrhosis.

If a mother was ill-conducted and the family is broken because of the mother,

then the daughter would see how her family is destroyed and should not do such

things, but the daughter acts the same as her mother. So among the people

they say like mother like daughter.

King Amaziahs beginning was greatly excellent, but the end of his life was truly

    tragic, wasnt it?

We call this in Chinese characters bright beginning and tame finish.

Right now we are standing at the corner where this year is completing.

Have you raised your children well by the Word of God and made them disciples?

If parents become teachers by the Word of God and make their children

disciples then that household gets never destroyed for generation after

    generation.

    Genesis 18:18-19

18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the

nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I have known him, in order

that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep

the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring

to Abraham what He has spoken to him.

Try raise your sons and daughter by the Word of God.

No matter how poor you are and how difficult your life may be, if God pours

down on you His blessings, someone unexpectedly visits you and helps you and

    your business is booming.

To our children, we must teach them only Jesus, the gospel of kingdom of

    heaven.

I want you to make your mind to teach your children the Word of God rather

than thinking of making a lot of money to send your children to prestigious

    school.

It is good to leave a great inheritance to your children, but I want you to inherit

the Word of God to your children.

You must become an upright person by the Word of God.

You should hope and rely on God.

I want you to tell your children this is the way to achieve success in everything

    for generation after generation.

If you do so, then great wealth and blessing will follow you and your good

reputation will spread all over the world.

We must be able to teach our children like this with confidence.

Whether a nation is destroyed or prospered?

It all depends on how the parents of our church educate their children.

Educating our children through the Word of God makes our nation prosper.

    2 Timothy 3:15-17

    15

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are ableto make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for

reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God

may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The people of Judah taught the Word of God to their children and when they

neglected educating their children by the Word of God, they had to go through

the sorrow of not having their own country for 2000 years.

When they finally regained their nation in 1948 they devoted themselves

educating their children and the nation became a strong nation Israel today.

What is the difference between a pig and a lamb?

No matter how many times we wash a pig, a pig goes right back to the ditch

where it came from and cannot stay clean, but as a lamb, no matter how many

times we put a lamb into a ditch, it comes out of it and remain clean.

Cleanliness, namely, holiness, without holiness we cannot see God.

    Hebrews 12:14

14 Pursue peace with allpeople, and holiness, without which no one will see the

    Lord:

You must be holy as the lamb of God.

Good things, right things and holy things, we must hear, see and touch only

    these things and be clean.

Only when we do that, we can see God.

    1 Peter 1:15

15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all yourconduct, 16

because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy.

Today is the last Sunday of this year.

Today is the day that we send away the old thing and greet the new thing.

I hope this day to you is the day you dust off the old things that are crumbled

    and become a new creation.

    Leviticus 6:18

18 All the males among the children of Aaron may eat it. It shall be a statute

forever in your generations concerning the offerings made by fire to the LORD.

Everyone who touches them must be holy.

On the other side, if we touch unholy things then we become unholy.

No matter how well you managed your life of faith, if you touch the things which

God prohibits you to touch, the unholy things and bad things, you become

    unclean.

    Leviticus 22:5-6

5 or whoever touches any creeping thing by which he would be made unclean, or

any person by whom he would become unclean, whatever his uncleanness may

be6 the person who has touched any such thing shall be unclean until evening,

and shall not eat the holy offerings unless he washes his body with water.

    Haggai 2:13

13 And Haggai said, Ifone who is unclean because of a dead body touches

any of these, will it be unclean?

So the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.14 Then

Even inside your heart, you must not come close to sinning.

Song Dynastys Zhu zi wrote such writing in his book calledsohak.

-when you lift an empty bowl, lift it as if it were full of water.

-when you enter an empty room, enter the room as if the room is full ofpeople.

How deeply this writing makes us think!

    1 Peter 4:11

. 11 If anyone speaks, let himspeakas the oracles of God. If anyoneministers, let him do itas with the ability which God supplies, that in allthings God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory

and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

If we could not obey this Word of God and live like this and we feel guilty

about it, then we can repent before the Watch night bell rings.

God is not tricked by the tricks humans make. God is not foolish enough tobe tricked by man.

I want you to repent with true heart and all your heart.

    Galatians 6:7

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he

    will also reap.

The sins I have committed before God for this year, if I do not repentcompletely all those sins, then those very sins will circle around me and

would not let me free and disturb me.

Sins would follow you like shadow for life and circle around you like a topand always give you the feeling of fear, agony and sorrow as it would neverdepart from you.

God said, be sure your sin will find you out.

    Numbers 32:23

    23 But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD;

and be sure your sin will find you out.

God said, our sins testify against us.

    Isaiah 59:12

  • 7/29/2019 Title 86

    13/15

12 For our transgressions are multiplied before You,

    And our sins testify against us;

For our transgressions are with us,

And as forour iniquities, we know them\

    2. If beginning is good but the end is bad, then we are reproached like thechurch in Ephesus.

    Revelation 2:4-5

4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or

else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its placeunless

    you repent.

Our Lord Jesusbeginning and end are the same.

    Hebrews 13:8

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

It means there is no change of heart in God s love.

Jesus did not leave the disciples who were going back to Emmaus as they were

disappointed because of Jesusdecease alone and personally went to them and

showed them His resurrected form to make them believe.

We too even though we have sinned many sins before God, I believe God will come

visit us right before we cross the river of the new year and pray for us and plant in

    us the livinghope.

Jesus is praying for us on the right side of God.

    Romans 8:22-26

22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together

until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even

we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the

redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is

not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what

we do not see, we eagerly wait for itwith perseverance.26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we

  • 7/29/2019 Title 86

    14/15

should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[b] with

    groanings which cannot be uttered.

I want you to believe that Jesus is praying for us before the door of the new year in

order to make us liquidate all our past sins and cross the river to greet the new

    year.

    Romans 8:34

34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen,

who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

All the prayers that we could not pray to God this year, Jesus is praying for us.

It will be done as we believe.

Also, please do not finish one year with carnal thoughts when you began the year

    with the Word of God.

Even though you may have started with carnal mind, I bless you with the name of

the Lord you end up with the Holy Spirit.

I want you to restore the first love which God bestowed on you.

God making you understand His Word and the true form of the Word of God is your

    first love.

If this love cooled down and fading away, then you must restore it before you are

    accursed.

Paying attention to the Word of God, this is restoring the first love.

Evangelizing, this is also restoring the first love.

    5

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, orelse I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its placeunless

    you repent.

If we do not restore the first love and God removes our lampstand from its place,

the heavens and the earth all become dark.

Do you want to live another year in the pitch dark darkness?

Please, by all means, restore your first love.

All we need to do is repent all our wrongdoings and sins that we sinned against Godand not idle the time away.

First of all before God and secondly before man and thirdly before all creation we

    must repent completely our sins.

If you want to live as the sons and daughters of God in the new year and live your

life without shame before the living God, then I want you to repent completely

before todays done and dress yourselves in holiness.

By doing that, I bless you with the name of the Lord the blessing of the Father, the

Son and the Holy Spirit are upon you from the beginning of the year until the end

of the world. I bless you with the name of the Lord such blessings are overflowing

in your family, work and business.

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, therighteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who

    have loved His appearing.
