Title: Gods precious covenantal people
Isaiah 43:1-7
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.3 For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I gave Egypt for your ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba in your place.4 Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.5 Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
And gather you from the west;6I will say to the north, Give them up!
And to the south, Do not keep them back!
Bring My sons from afar,
And My daughters from the ends of the earth7 Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
I have formed him, yes, I have made him.
Today, the Word of God which our living God is providing us the saints of the livinghope church is Gods
precious covenantal people.
1. What is treasure?Treasure in Hebrew language is O-cha-re and it means the most valuable and rare.

In Korean dictionary, it defines treasure as precious thing, valuable asset, however, God says
fear of God is treasure.
Isaiah 33:6
6 Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times,
Andthe strength of salvation;
The fear of the LORD is His treasure.
In other words, those who fear God becomes Gods treasure.
Whether you are educated or not, whether you are rich or poor, if you
believe in God and fear God then you become Gods precious people.
When God says you become His treasure when you fear God, because you do
not fear God truly, you are not treated as treasures, but like garbage.
In this world, people count honour, wealth, status and what family youve
come from to judge whether you are honoured or not, God does not count
such things, but only looks whether you truly fear God or not. Please do not
forget this.
Then, what is fear of God?
To hear the Word of God is fear of God.
When children respect their parents, they listen to their parents.
Those who fear God hear the Word of God and obey them and those who
respect their parents listen to their parents and obey them.
Psalm 115:55 He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
If you want to have abundant food physically and spiritually, then I hope you
truly fear God.
Because you do not fear God and cannot believe in the Word of God you are
destroyed and go to hell. Even between husband and wife, you need to trust
each other truthfully, if you dont then your family is destroyed. If a husband
and wife cannot trust each other, they often have disputes and finally they
are separated.

After the Exodus, God called Moses to the Mount Sinai and gave him the
Word of covenants.
You shall go and tell everything I have told you today to the children of Israel
and let them believe it!
If you do so, then you will become wisdom and knowledge among all nations
and I will make you head of all nations.
It was promise of God.
Deuteronomy 26:1919 and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in
praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the
LORD your God, just as He has spoken.
First, God promised that He will set them high above all nations which He has
made and second, God promised that He will make them a holy people to the
Lord their God.
To set them high above all nations means God will make them head over all
nations.
Although there are many nations on earth, they cannot be the head, but only
people of Israel God will make head over them. Look at the history of the
world, isnt it true?
Likewise, the living God has given us the eternal covenant which is the fifth
book of Gods redemptive series. If we believe in this Word of God with fear
of God, then we become Gods treasure.
If we believe this covenant which is given to us and obey it, we are blessed
generation after generation and we are loved by God among all nations and
God will be responsible for all of us and He will save us and our family.
When we believe in Gods Word of covenant, all things go our way and we
will be prosperous.
Deuteronomy 29:99 Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may
prosper in all that you do.
Please do not take it lightly that you are given the fifth book of Gods
redemptive series. If we cannot believe the Word of covenant that we have

received earlier than others and cannot keep the covenant and obey them,
there is no way we can escape from Gods fearful wrath.
Deuteronomy 29:19-2119 and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he
blesses himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, even though I follow
the dictates[a]of my heartas though the drunkard could be included with
the sober.20The LORD would not spare him; for then the anger ofthe LORD and His
jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this
book would settle on him, and the LORD would blot out his name from under
heaven. 21 And the LORD would separate him from all the tribes of Israel for
adversity, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this
Book of the Law,
When God is giving you His covenant, He doesnt just give you.
When we are qualified to believe it and after God makes us good enough to
keep His covenant, then God gives us His covenant.
Think of Gods covenant regarding Sabbath year.
When God commanded Israel to keep the Sabbath year, did God simply tell
them to keep it?
God promised the children of Israel that He will provide them plentiful food to
survive for the coming year if they keep the Sabbath year and let the land
rest for the Sabbath year.
Because they have to farm the land for 6 years and let the land rest in the
seventh year, God promised them He will give them three years worth of
crops in their 6th harvest year. However, the children of Israel could not
believe this promise.
Even though God gave them three years worth of crops in the 6th year, the
children of Israel still farmed the land in the Sabbath year after they received
three years worth of crops. This is the reason for their captivity in Babylon.
When children of Israel still farmed the land in the Sabbath year after they
received three years worth of crops, the crops grew very well.
Then the Israelites were happy that they grew crops well even though they
did not obey the Word of God. And after some time, when the fruits and
crops were about to ripen, God sent locusts and let them eat all the crops
before harvest and also sent storms and rainstorms to destroy all the crops.

When we encounter damage from wind or suffer from drought, it is because
we did not keep Gods covenant, there is no other cause.
Gods covenant regarding Sabbath year applies not only to land but also to
people. Even slaves who work in your household should be released on the
seventh year after working for 6 years and let them return to their homeland.
However, the Israelites did not obey this as well.
And therefore, God started to send such household various diseases and
illnesses and it was to the point they cannot handle by themselves. By then,
the children of Israel cried out to God asking to save them.
God promised the children of Israel if they keep Gods covenant, He will
prolong their lives and there will be no diseases and illnesses among them,
and they will have peace and harmony in their households and even blessed
the wombs of their livestock.
When they obeyed Gods covenant, they prospered in all ways, however,
when they did not obey the covenant, everything went wrong.
God said He will bless those who keep His covenant for a 1000 generations.
Deuteronomy 7:99Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who
keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love
Him and keep His commandments;
A thousand generations is tremendously long period of time. Korea s Shilla
dynasty lasted for about a thousand year, 992 years, but it was only 56
generations.
If it is a thousand generations, it is 30000 years. We see 30 years as one
generation, so 1000 generations is 30000 years, right?
If God decides something, there is never change of His will and from the
moment He decides until He accomplishes, God never changes.
Matthew 24:3535 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass
away.
If you really want success for your children, good health for your husband
and wife and your son in law and your grandchildren, then try believing Gods

Word of covenant and keep them. It is the secret to receive eternal
inheritance.
1 Peter 1:3-43 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to
His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible
and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
Covenant is not pie in the sky, but it is a fact and truth and that is why we
must believe and keep it. Those people who believe only things that they
see such as money or precious stones, they have hard time believing in
Gods covenant. Even though Gods covenant is not visible, if you believe in
it, then that is true faith.
When we examine the history of the Bible, there is universe in the Word of
God and everything is in the Word of God. And therefore, from the Word of
God perspective, we should see the Word of God bigger than diamonds and
our own parents and children and when we see it that way, we can believe in
the Word of God.
Job is confessing that he did not put his hope in things that he sees.
Job 31:24-28
24If I have made gold my hope,
Or said to fine gold, You aremy confidence;
25 If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great,
And because my hand had gained much;
26 If I have observed the sun[c] when it shines,Or the moon moving in brightness,
27 So that my heart has been secretly enticed,And my mouth has kissed my hand;
28 This also would be an iniquity deserving ofjudgment,
For I would have denied God who is above.
From the moment we receive Gods covenant until we enter the gates of the
kingdom of heaven, if we believe in the Word of the covenant, then we are
guaranteed until the end. I hope you believe this.

2. What kind of people is Gods treasure?1) Those who are called by name by God are Gods treasure people.
Isaiah 43:11 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
Isaiah 43:44 Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.
If God makes me His treasure, then even if I am faced with death suddenly,
He will make a wicked man die in place of me and save me.
In other words, it is the same situation when the children of Israel were
being slaves in Egypt, God gave Egypt for ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba in their place.
Thus, how valuable and precious are Gods covenantal people are!
Among all nations and all peoples in the world, our saints of the livinghope
church are Gods covenantal people, I hope you believe this for certain.
You may not believe it, but I do believe it firmly.
2) people who keep Gods covenant are Gods treasure people.Exodus 19:55 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then
you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is
Mine.
However, for those who despised and betrayed Gods covenant, God says He
will turn away from such family, households and business. If God turn His
back on us, then there is nothing that works out for us.

Either we suffer from severe diseases or incurable illnesses and no matter
what kind of medicines we take our conditions never get better. Then, it is
already late.
Malachi 3:1717 They shall be Mine, says the LORD of hosts,
On the day that I make them My jewels.[a]
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.
How parents spare their own child! Likewise, God says He will make us His
jewels and spare us.
Value of a thing changes depending on who owns that thing. If a beggar
owns something, nobody looks at that thing and consider it valuable.
However, if it was the inkstone owned by King Sejong, then how valuable
and precious inkstone that is!
The sword of Admiral Yi Sun-sin is national treasure, isnt it?
Do you know how much is the fountain pen owned by Abraham Lincoln the
16th president of the U.S.?
After several hundreds of years, the value is incredible.
And God declared that we are His jewels, what happens to our value then?
Can it be compared to anyt
hing in the world? No.
3)Those whom God has redeemed are Gods treasure people.
Isaiah 43:1
The Redeemer of Israel
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
Fear not, for I have redeemed you; this means redemption of the blood of
Jesus Christ on the cross.

The saints who are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ are all
Gods covenantal people and those who receive His words are Gods
covenantal people.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 God says He bought us at a price. Because the Son
of God paid His blood as a price and bought us, Satan cannot take us from
God. Because God has a receipt that He bought us, would He give us back
when asked? No.
For God bought us with blood, our owner is God.
1 Corinthians 6:19-2019 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is
in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were
bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[c] and in your spirit,
which are Gods.
3) Those whom God led from darkness to light are Gods precious people.After Adams fall, fallen mankind is all wicked men and children of curse.
God led the children of curse into the middle of light.
Ephesians 5:8-98 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as
children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit[b]is in all goodness, righteousness,
and truth),
Acts 26:1818 to open their eyes,in orderto turnthemfrom darkness to light, andfrom
the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an
inheritance among those who are sanctified byfaith in Me.
5)Those whom God brought into the bond of the covenant are Gods precious
people.
Ezekiel 20:2737I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of
the covenant

6) Those who are created in the image of God are God s precious people.
Genesis 1:26-2826Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;
let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and
over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps
on the earth.27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God
He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them,
and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over
every living thing that moves on the earth.
Psalm 49:2020 A man who is in honor, yet does not understand,
Is like the beasts thatperish.
3. Gods precious people will not be put to shame.
Romans 10:11

4 Our fathers trusted in You;
They trusted, and You delivered them.5 They cried to You, and were delivered;
They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.
Psalm 71:1
God the Rock of Salvation
1 In You, O LORD, I put my trust;
Let me never be put to shame.
Romans 9:3333 As it is written:
Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense,
Andwhoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.[p]
Isaiah 25:6-8
6 And in this mountain
The LORD of hosts will make for all people
A feast of choice pieces,
A feast of wines on the lees,
Of fat things full of marrow,
Of well-refined wines on the lees.7 And He will destroy on this mountain
The surface of the covering cast over all people,
And the veil that is spread over all nations.8 He will swallow up death forever,
And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces;
The rebuke of His people
He will take away from all the earth;
For the LORD has spoken.
