Washington DC Chapter - American Singles Golf Association — December 2012 CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF SINGLES GOLF IN AMERICA T’is the Season Well, the local golf season is over and the holiday season has started. The last ASGA-DC golf outing of the year – The Turkey Shoot in Myrtle Beach - is over. Based on previous years, I think it is safe to say that everyone had a good time at Sharon’s annual event. That means we won’t be on the course locally until spring, except for the few hard-core players who will find a way to play through the winter, snow or no snow. But don’t worry. Your newly elected Golf, Membership, and Communications Chairs, President, Treas- urer and Chairman of the Board have al- ready started cooking up plans for 2013. Keep your eye on the schedule page on the ASGA-DC website and your inbox the announcement of new events soon to be announced. Friday November 9-Happy Hour & Chair Elections – Panache Tyson’s Corner The Election for ASGA–DC Chairs was held at Panache Tyson’s Corner during the Happy Hour on Friday, Nov. 9th. Con- gratulations to Bob Musson Communica- tion Chair, Mary Lou Kupfer Membership Chair, and Subhash Chauhan Golf Chair on their election. These three will join the soon-to-be Chairman of the Board (Sharon Geyer) to form the new Board of Directors. Please show them your support by volunteering when you can. This or- ganization does not function without volun- teers for happy hour and golf outing event coordinators. It’s a great way to meet other members and isn’t that much work. The Social Chair position is still open. So if you are interested, please let Dave Sheets or Sharon Geyer know. Seen at the HH were, Richard, Bob, Sharon, Mark, Allie, Irene, Sam Dave, Gail, Dave, Diane and Jim. ASGA - DC treated the group to "free" appetizers, which were really yummy and devoured in record time. We had about 20 people at- tend. All had a good time and later few of them hit the Clyde’s for more fun at the bar.
