no readymade chapters available on Art and Culture. Before starting
preparation, make sure you through all the chapters in these books and
make note of the chapters which cover the topics. Also, keep in mind the
weightage given to this section and plan your strategy accordingly. While
some people skip this section, some prefer leaving no stone unturned.

Topic 3:- The Freedom Struggle – its various stages and important contributors/contributions from different parts of the country.
The topic is pretty straight forward. It requires the aspirant to have knowledge of the Indian Freedom Struggle. Most preferred book by the aspirants is “India’s Struggle for Independence” by Bipan Chandra. A thorough study of 2 times at least is required. Some aspirants prefer Modern History by Spectrum. In addition to these, one may also read “From Plassey to Partition” by Sekhar Bandyopadhyay. Keep in mind not to waste time reading the entire book. Before starting, clearly mark the chapters which cover the syllabus.
