Thank you for applying to Aston University. We are a truly global and culturally diverse institution with international students from over 80 countries. We are sure that you will find Aston a very welcoming place to live and study.
Aston’s small self-contained green campus, located minutes away from the city centre, creates a special, friendly and safe environment for all our students. Our university managed accommodation is built to the highest standard, supported by 24/7 welfare and security provision and is situated on campus, just a few minutes’ walk away from your lectures, the library, sports facilities, shops and local transport networks. As an international student, you are guaranteed university accommodation for the duration of your studies, and we offer a range of licence periods – 42 weeks, 45 weeks and 51 weeks, all of which cover the Christmas and Easter vacations, so you don’t have to move out. In addition, you can extend your licence if you wish to stay on campus during the Summer vacation period.

If privacy and facilities are important then our Lakeside experience offers you a room with a shower, toilet and washbasin.
In addition there are well appointed kitchen and dining facilities which are shared between each flat and are a focal point for life outside lectures.
Situated on the edge of campus and overlooking our ornamental lake and landscaped gardens, Lakeside offers students well- appointed accommodation in flats or ground floor maisonettes for between six and ten students.
Facilities for students with a disability are well catered for in Lakeside; our building design considers varying mobility needs and includes a number of rooms fully accessible for wheelchair users.

All our students have the best of both worlds, the buzzing, vibrant, artistic, cultural assets of our second city and Aston is a green, leafy, pleasant, landscaped, sociable, friendly and safe campus.
Sport Aston manages the sports facilities at Aston University. They offer a wide range of high quality sports facilities including a gym, swimming pool, aerobics and martial arts studio, football pitches and sports halls all in Birmingham City Centre, adjacent to the Residences. Off campus in Great Barr, there is a 48 acre outdoor recreation centre with grass pitches, Astroturf, bar, pavilion and changing facilities for football, cricket, rugby and hockey teams.
