ANNOUNCEMENT FOR AUDITIONS FOR THE POSITION OF PRINCIPAL MUSICIANIN TIMPANI - PERCUSSON

The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra invites applications for the position of Principal Musician in Timpani

Percussion.

Applicants must have a degree or a diploma from a recognized institution, specialized in percussion

instruments, or a degree of the same specialization from a University in Cyprus, or an equivalent degree

title from a foreign university or institution, which is recognized by the KYSATS Cyprus.

Applicants must be EU citizens or must have a work permit for countriesmembers of the EU.

Audition Dates:Sunday 19 and Monday 20 April 2015

Audition Venue:Pallas Theatre, Paphos Gate, Nicosia, Crossing Regenis and Arsinois Streets.

Basic Salary (gross / month):2583.52 euro

Applicants will be informed in time, regarding the time of their arrival, and time of their audition.

The jury will be consisted of 5 jury members with President the Artistic Director of the Cyprus Symphony

Orchestra. At the auditions, only the jury members will be present as well as 1 member of the Cyprus

Symphony Orchestra Musicians Union, without the right to vote.

After the audition of all applicants who fulfill the criteria, the jury members will rate each candidate on a

scale from 1 (one) to 10 (ten).

The jury, by the latest 30th

of April 2015, will announce a list of the candidates, according to their rating.

Overdue applications will not be taken into consideration.
