● During deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), maintained

awards and correspondence and provided supervision to Marines performing Awards/correspondence

related duties and maintained accountability and training for 5 Marines.

● Utilized Marine Corps Orders for correspondence and award processing and utilized Microsoft Access

and SharePoint for database development and presentation, resulting in the proper award of over 3000

awards.

● Created a Microsoft Access database for awards, casualties, personnel, vehicles and gear which resulted

in a standardized awards processing system.

● Created a gear retrograde tracking capability with 9500 initial items and capable of tracking 70,000

pieces of gear on a classified system utilizing Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Access.

● Served as the assistant classified material control custodian, accounting for over 500 items of classified

materials.

● Created a Microsoft Access database for classified materials and assisted in the establishment of the

group order that laid out the parameters for maintaining and disposing of classified materials.

Service Record Book NCOIC, Personnel Administration Center, Camp Lejeune, NC Nov08-Oct10

● Maintained Marine Corps service record books, ensuring each record was updated upon receipt of new

information.

● When notified of a casualty or death, regardless of when it occurred, immediately reported to my office

and scanned the service record and forwarded it to Headquarters Marine Corps.

● Personally maintained the training jackets for my 19 Marines, ensuring all required military training was

completed, medical appointments were made and kept, and counseled each Marine on the pros and cons

of their performance.

● When notified of a unit preparing for deployment, ensured that each service record book was scanned

and delivered via compact disc to the Administrative Chief of the deploying unit.

● As a result of my efforts, over 40,000 record jackets were properly maintained and updated.

● Participated and led retirement ceremonies that occurred during this period.

● Prepared the Service Record Book section for the Commanding General's Inspection (CGI) by auditing

40,000 record books for discrepancies and ensured all information was updated.
