A PASSION FOR PERFORMANCE

The last day of June 2011 marked another signifi cant milestone for TUDOR. On June 30th 2011, TUDOR became the “Timing Partner” of Ducati, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, reinforcing the watchmaker’s thoroughly modern sporting vocation. TUDOR takes us for a spin in the seductive high-speed world of motorcycle racing with its evocatively named line, Fastrider.

The sleek, bevelled design of the new 42 mm case gives the Fastrider chronograph a very sporty and technical look. The date corrector at 9 o’clock is decorated with a black PVD-coated shield, a technical detail that alludes to the world of motorcycles.

The chronograph pushers, which fit into the middle case through black PVD-coated cylinders, are reminiscent of engine pistons. These direct-action chronograph pushers make it easy to measure short periods of time with precision, a func-tion indispensable to all speed-related disciplines. The bezel is engraved with a tachymetric scale.

The dial has been specially designed for the TUDOR Fastrider collection and is characterised by minute markers on the fl ange and by three vertical stripes, another reference to the racing world. The dial comes in three colours: black, white, or silversun, each featuring three black totalizers with red hands. Each version of the dial is available with either bevelled hour markers or double-layer Arabic numeral appliques. The design of the semi cut-out hands is sleek and precise. The inscrip-tion TUDOR GENEVE appears on a small satin-fi nished plaque below the brand’s red logo at 12 o’clock.

The TUDOR Fastrider chronograph is available with a satin-fi nished triple-link steel bracelet with a polished centre piece, or a leather strap with a folding clasp and a new safety catch, or a black fabric strap featuring three sporty stripes that echo those on the dial.

TUDOR is honouring its partnership with the Italian motorcycle manufacturer in presenting a special commemorative Fastrider Chronograph model that retains the same technical features as the other models but makes use of Ducati’s prestigious red. The Fastrider commemorative models are fi tted with a black and red stitched leather strap and include an additional fabric strap with three contrasting racing stripes, which have now become one of TUDOR’s distinctive stylistic features.
