ABOUT TODAY’S WORSHIPToday’s sanctuary flowers are given by Albert Morris to honor Dr. Hailey and his family

on the 19th anniversary of their ministry at Hayes Barton Baptist Church. Our guest organist in worship this morning is Lorraine Magnuson. She graduated from

Radford College in Radford, VA, with a degree in Sacred Music and organ performance. She has been a church organist all of her life, serving a variety of denominations in Alabama, Virginia, and North Carolina. Lorraine retired from a regular church position in 1997. Now she substitutes all over Wake County, usually playing over 40 Sundays each year.

Dr. Mike Cogdill has joined us for the summer as our Sabbatical Pastor. We are excited to hear him preach the word of God and to get to know him as he aids in many of our ministries. Welcome, Mike!

DR. COGDILL’S SCHEDULEWe are so thankful to have Dr. Mike Cogdill as our Sabbatical Pastor this summer. He will be available in the church office on Wednesdays for visitation and conferences. If you are interested in setting up an appointment with him, email him ([email protected]) or contact Christine Moore in the church office to schedule a time.

MINISTERIAL PRAYER CARDSSummer Prayer Cards can be found around the church and in the front of the Friendship Pad in each pew in the Sanctuary. Please fill out these cards with needs that you would like our Ministerial Staff to pray over. They will meet throughout the summer in times of focused prayer over the needs of the congregation. You can also find an online Prayer Request form under the “Contact” menu on our website: www.hbbc.org.

REFRESHThis summer, we are challenged to REFRESH our lives, and what a challenge that can be! How do you plan to refresh? Will you take some time away from your daily activities and head off on vacation? Will you just slow down a little? Will you put in place a new spiritual discipline? Might you take time to drive a different way to work or church asking God to show you something new? Maybe you will breathe a little more? Share your REFRESHing stories: email Kristen Muse ([email protected]), or fill out one of the cards in the pew pad.

MEMORIAL GARDEN: SPECIAL CHALLENGEA Secret Encourager wants to increase the value of your gift to the Memorial Garden Fund. We have had someone offer to match the accumulated value of NEW GIFTS up to $15,000. The gifts must be given between July 12 and July 26 to be eligible for matching funds. Please give now to help the Memorial Garden Fund grow into a reality.

24 STUDENTS... 24 HOURS... 24 WEEKSQuestion: How much difference can 24 make?Answer: All the difference in the world.

24 students worked together to make their part in the 2014 Hanging of the Greens a success. This year, 24 students will completely reimagine, redesign, and revitalize Youth Choir ministry at HBBC. This will happen miraculously in 24 Hours! These 24 hours will be spread out over 24 weeks and the result will be absolutely stunning. Do you know a student who would like to join this movement? Invite them and they will have 24 hours to make all the difference in the world.

HBBC Youth Choir begins on August 23 at 5:00 p.m. The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do this! 1 Thess. 5:24
