have to do it.

It is not enough to simply "think about" studying; you have to actually do it, and in the process use information from what you do to improve.

The SQ3R METHODSQ3R stands for:

•Survey/Skim: glance through a chapter in order to identify headings, sub-headings etc.

•Question: what is this about? how will this help me?

•Read in-depth: highlight key points, re-read points, try to relate to information that you already know.

•Recite: summarise in your own words

•Review: write down the main ideas, using your own words to explain what they mean, it might help to tell another student or a family member what you have learnt.
