one day consultancyWe will give you specialist advise and solutions to all design related problems you may have in one eight hour session. Following an initial talk on site, we will review the potential of your venue, provide practical solutions for planning the space, furniture, colour codes, lighting, art and image direction after taking into account your target market.

After all aspects are noted we will provide a written summaryoutlining all discussed ideas for your design scheme. This will include web site links, moodboards containing colour codes, ideas, images etc all building an outlined story of how your venue will look and feel. This service is invaluable to your project’s success and will provide you with a bible of which to adhere to.This is essential in managing your budget efficiently without wasting time and money using trial or error.

The Vulcan Lunge - This place was classy even before it got classy... if you know what I mean? The fact that it’s now had a refurb that shows it in its true colours is simply a case of a place fulfilling its promise.

It’ll come as no surprise to many that the people behind the Vulcan Lounge are the same people that transformed the North Star into a shining beacon of contemporary style. Tim Rice, the illustrious Cardiff based designer responsible for the magnificent results out in Maindy/Gabalfa is working his magic in Cathays. And thats not all... The winning formula that made The North Star such a manifold success is now being down-scaled and tranposed onto this centrally located pub come lounge.

We love great design and pushing the boundaries, making it work for the client so the first impressions of a customer are that of an immediate attraction, interest, the choice to remain and return again and again.

We source and supply all furniture, fixed seating, wallpapers, fabrics, lighting but, depending on the project brief and budget, if required, we can design and produce bespoke products making your scheme very unique to your brand.

Following the completion of the concept design process and the approval of planning if required, the Business also provides a complete Project Management service in conjunction with our preferreddedicated Consultants and Construction Team, to coordinate the detailed design and provide the full Contract Management of the project from inception, through to Contract Award, Completion and Final Account.

Our services also include the drafting, agreement and implementation of bespoke forecasted business plans, focused on projects coupled with the employers requirements, providing critical milestones by setting clear goals to measure the management and performance of the development. Reporting directly to the client and employer our duties include, chairing monthly project performance review meetings, discussing, reviewing and measuring Health and Safety, ConstructionCompliance, Programme and Cost.

The North Star 2009Is a vast pub cum restaurant and music venue occupying a prominent position on North Road in the Maindy / Gabalfa area of Cardiff. It is an incredibly inspiring and important addition to the cultural wealth of the city. Opened in October last year, it is already the home to a cosmopolitan mix of locals, business people and students, as well as regular visitors from all over the city and beyond.

When you walk into The North Star you can appreciate why it has such a draw. The old Victorian mansion-sizedbuilding has been lovingly refurbished with impressive style. The modern look, embelished with antique flourishes and an eclectic use of period furniture, has been created by Tim Rice, one of Cardiff's most successful designers, leading The North Star to be shortlisted for 'The Best Bar and Restaurant Design Awards' within months of its unveiling. It also scooped up another accolade when it was voted the fifth best 'cheap eat' in the UK by The Guardian.
