WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT TIM CARTER

"One of the pleasures of officiating is meeting

coaches who are approachable, courteous and

knowledgeable. Coach Carter is one of those

coaches. His success in the Southland Conference

has been equaled by very few and all the time he was

at UTSA, he was honest and enthusiastic. I always

told new officials who were working his games that,

"If Coach Carter says something to you about the

game, you should listen to him, as he is not one to

bring up something unless it is relevant to the way

the game is being played and officiated". Without

a doubt, Tim Carter is one of the best coaches I've

worked for".

-Lynn Shortnacy

Retired basketball official of 30 years, who worked

the SEC, ACC, Big 12, Mountain West, and Pac 10

Conferences.

"I have watched Tim

Carter grow in our

profession since he

was an assistant and

throughout his head

coaching tenure at

UTSA. His teams

have always been

very well coached,

organized, disciplined,

and bottom line they

win. Probably more

importantly, I have

always been impressed with the way he does his

job, the right way. Coach Carter's kids graduate, he

conducts himself with class and runs his program

with integrity. What more could anyone want".

-Mike Montgomery

Head Men's Basketball Coach

University of California

"I have always

admired Tim Carter

because he is a man

of character and his

teams exemplify the

determination and

commitment to be

winners" .

-Tubby Smith

Head Men's

Basketball Coach

Texas Tech

University

"Tim Carter is

a classy guy

with a great

background who

understands

the coaching

profession.

His teams are

fundamentally

sound. We know

that when we

compete against

Coach Carter's

team, he is

going to put his

players in a position to be successful".
