ATHLETICSTiger Pride
First of all, TIGER PRIDE!
The Culture, Commitment and Competitiveness philosophy is strong and vibrant on our court, Hields, and courses.
We had an outstanding showing by Vanessa Leitermann at the Division I State Golf Tournament. She showed her Tiger Pride and represented Marana for the second year in a row with excellence.
Vanessa competed against some of the top golfers in the state and showed her talent with a score of 161 for the two day tournament and 38 holes. Ms. Leitermann has a bright future as a student athlete and we are proud she is a Marana Tiger!
At the Division I State Cross Country meet Rhianna "Bour-‐Gett" Bourguet and Madeline "Maddy" Medina made it known Marana is a force to be reckon with. These young ladies competed against over 150 runners and placed in the top third of the pack. Rhianna came in a few seconds before Maddy but with true Tiger Pride spirit shared their accomplishment with joy and respect for one another and their competitors. These girls truly encompass the term "I Run Like A Girl" and compete like a Tiger!
Thank you for all of your support this Fall season. Your student athlete and community support make Marana Athletics the wonderful place we are part of. I am fortunate and thankful to work for your student athlete and the Marana Athletics community. The coaching staff and I hope to have your continued support in the upcoming season and in the future. We (parents, student athletes, coaching staffs, and administration) create the Culture of the 3C's that other communities talk about in positive ways. Thank you and TIGER PRIDE!
Honored to be the ADMs. Montiel Turner
