As we approach our 10-year anniversary of founding Tifie, we’ve learned a whole lot about doing good. Our mission has been the same since day one: to lift people out of poverty through job creation. Although our projects and methods have adapted throughout the years, our core value of providing tools and opportunities for people to provide for themselves has remained at the center of everything we do.

We’ve learned that doing good can not always be measured. It can be difficult to capture the intangible impact of doing good, of joy and contentment, of family togetherness and hope for a future.

What’s not difficult? Doing good. When we are impressed to do something, we do it. We continue to respond to the call “If not you, who? If not now, when?”

Thank you for joining us this year in doing good both around the world and in our own backyard.

Sincerely,

Robert WorkmanFounder

When one can provide, one can thrive.

Every person deserves to provide for themselves, lifting themselves out of poverty. Every single one of our projects creates income opportunities.

RELATIONSHIPS SAVE LIVES IN NEPAL

424 babies, 97 tents, 101 new donors, 240 Goal Zero flashlights

We provided 97 BareBones Living shelters to be used as maternal health clinics to rural towns in Nepal, with our partners on the ground, One Heart World Wide. Each tent was outfitted with Goal Zero solar power and light to make fetal monitoring possible. As of our report, 424 babies have been safely welcomed into the world in these shelters!

“Y ou guys are making a world of a difference.” - Unicef aid worker

“ These tents are a game changer, and saving lives under extreme conditions.”- Arlene Samen, CEO of One Heart World Wide

TECHNOLOGY CENTER REACHES RURAL CHILDREN IN GHANA

600 students attend per week from 5 different schools, 7 new jobs, 100 tablets, 10KW power system, 3 days of backup power

Light after the sun goes down means 100% happiness according to the local teacher.

The modern world is so tied to technology that an upbringing without access to power makes escaping poverty almost impossible. The ITC Center is a technology library for the Kushea community, providing rural students access to modern education which puts them on a level playing field for national testing. Tifie provided a 10KW solar power system that provides sustainable and continuous power and Goal Zero sent employees to install the solar system. It also will serve as a resource center for adult education classes and an internet Cafe after regular school hours.

“ This project is preparing these children for the world.” - Robert Workman, Tif ie Founder

“K ushea is becoming a beacon of hope and a hub to serve other village communities far and near. ”- Danso Yaw Ofori, The School Administrator

Page 9: Tifie Annual Report 2015

It’s so easy to take things for granted in life, especially the little things. The people of Kushea and the people of Africa reminded me what really matters in life and why we do the things we do. They reminded me of the positive impact we can have on the people around us, of the positive impact we can have on the world if we

just try.

- K irsten Woods, Supply Chain

Ghana was nothing less than an incredible adventure that was an education about the roots of African culture and the realities of a people who have everything they need but lack the skills to manage it -- and the emotional reminder that it’s in our power to make a

difference to empower potential in others.

-Walker Ford, Electrical Engineer

Tifie chooses projects that have a strong community leadership, an element of job creation, and a passionate person at the helm. King Nana in Ghana has committed to all of these, and even visited our HQ in Utah this year to discuss opportunities in cross-cultural collaboration.

2015 PROJECTS AROUND THE WORLD

Page 12: Tifie Annual Report 2015

When I think about Tifie, the thing that makes me most excited is that we help marginalized people. People who, for some reason, are on the wrong side of the line. When I visited Morocco this fall, I interviewed several women who kissed our cheeks, held our babies, and hugged us hard when we left. And what I’ve learned in the last eight years of working with Tifie is that we have something to give and receive from each other, no matter how different our lives might appear. This is this the good stuff of humanity, of honoring and truly seeing one another.

It’s a privilege to help people around the world with you. My job is to tell these stories, and give you all a meaningful connection to your giving. I’m excited for more heartfelt connections with you in 2016.

Sincerely,

Halen SeevinckExecutive [email protected]

TRAINING BRINGS HOPE FOR MARGINALIZED WOMEN IN MOROCCO

Women re-enter the workforce.

Tifie partnered with Professor Knidiri and the Grand Atlas Association to provide job training to women in Morocco who are re-entering the job force. Tifie sent supplies to the school for students to have ample resources to practice and develop their skills. Tifie sent a delegation of working mothers to visit the Center in March, who attended the first graduation ceremony of the Center.

Grand Atlas Association

Rashida was the house mama of the Center and has worked there since it started. Her dream is that she will walk into the local market and see graduates from the Center with their own business and handicrafts. Us too!

KINSHASA SCHOOL BRINGS EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITY TO LOW INCOME STUDENTS

125 Students with 22 new classes in a safe environment, close to home.

Tifie supports the Mabila School in Kinshasa DRC, so that it can expand and meet the needs of the low-income neighborhood it serves. The project has included building expansion and updates, supplies and support to faculty. These updates will allow the school to continue to function and increase the amount of students it can serve in its neighborhood.

Consider partnering with us with the Kola School and visiting in 2016. Your donation of $10 a month will sponsor a student’s school fee, investing into a bright future in an otherwise dark situation.

“This school will make the difference.” - Lukenge Amelia, 2nd Grade Teacher

Board Member sponsor, Rick Maingot, “This was the best trip of my life. I’m extremely excited about the amazing opportunities for significant impact in the Congo.”

VILLAGE WATER DRILLS

Investing into the communities of Liberia and DRC.

We partnered with Who Lives Village Drill to provide clean water and job opportunities to Africa Heartwood Project and Go Conscious Earth. Drills are enroute now and will be installed in 2016 where they will provide clean, diseasefree water for local schools, clinics, churches and community groups. We are excited to be partnering with both of these passionate organizations, and to be supporting Who Lives, who got it’s start at BYU.

Consider donating a well to either of these great organizations, supporting the drill teams and communities for an investment of $2500 per well.

TENTS SAVE LIVES IN WEST AFRICA

Multi-purpose tents for rapid response.

In the height of the ebola crisis, we sent 24 BareBones Living tents to Sierra Leone and Liberia with Partners in Health, creating mobile clinics staffed by doctors, volunteers and ebola survivors. The tents have been repurposed from ebola clinics to be used as administrative needs, storage, temporary shelter for workers, an eye clinic and support for flood victims.

“One district in particular is very remote so these tents are perfect for accommodating any sort of requests from partners.” - Team Member

SELF-SUSTAINING UTAH PROJECT GIVING BACK

12 Farmers in Training, 10.5 acres converted to farmland

Tifie contributed to the Green Urban Lunchbox Farmers in Training program in Layton, Utah. Their farmers in training are 16 to 70 in age, and receive training in several disciplines, including animal husbandry, orchard management and aquaponics. Each farmer joins GULB, and receives a parcel of land to work, tools and support of local farmers. Each farmer donates a portion of the produce to their favorite hunger relief organization, serving 6 major Utah charities.

EMPOWERING WOMEN IN DRC

Placing power and connection in the hands of Congolese women.

Tifie partnered with Operation Smile to give solar chargers and flashlights to Congolese women recovering from surgery. They used the solar panels o recharge their cell phones to stay in contact with their nurses, ensuring full recovery support. Our donation increases doctor follow-up and outreach to other women needing important surgeries, as well as providing a power source for small entrepreneurial activities. So far, 37 patients between ages 20-50 received surgery and chargers as part of this project.

Image nomad 7 or torchThe impact is continuous. Our founder, Robert Workman, has developed tools like the Goal Zero solar power products and the Barebones shelters that can lift people out of poverty no matter the location, the language, or the culture.

COMMUNITY GREENHOUSE IN PERU

One man’s dream will provide jobs and nutrition through sustainable greenhouse.

Hard work and dedication to stick to the task are the difficult beginnings of any startup. Jaime moved crosscountry to start this greenhouse, as any entrepreneur can relate to, plans don’t always go as expected. But with ingenunity, creative problem-solving and stick-to-it-ness, the greenhouses are producing vegetables that are ready to go to market. Community partners and sales channels are developing, which will lead to local ownership and success. Increased nutrition, new job opportunities and closer families are the goals of the project.

Special thanks to Spherion Staffing, who donated over $3000 to this project.

“Once a person has vision enough to see that they can work with their hands and add valu e and provide for themselves and others, then even the most gloomy days are f illed with hope.”- Ron Z arbock, Spherion Owner and Tif ie Chairman oF the Board

ROOTS HIGH SCHOOL

Empowering students through agriculture and character development.Tifie and Bare Bones adopted Roots Charter High School as a pinnacle education project in West Valley City. We connected with Tyler Bastian, Roots Founding Director, around shared values of character building, agricultural sustainability and education. Together we hold a passion to give these 160 students tools for their future, meaningful connections AND the opportunity to dig in the dirt.

PBJs before ABC: Many students at Roots arrive at school without eating breakfast, and many, without dinner that night before. We coorganized a Roots Pantry for students to earn Roots Bucks that can be spent on healthy snacks. Learning begins with moments of wholeness, like starting the school day with breakfast. Local Kneaders Bakery brings leftover baked goods every morning for breakfast for all students.

Sustainable Gardens: Roots students all work on their farm, learning how to grow their own food and sell it at a local market. Tifie is sponsoring their garden beds with BareBones, and will work alongside students to develop farm-to-table CSA program. When school becomes a place of belonging, students find connections that help them make meaning of their worlds and a resource for problem-solving.

“If we get it right with everyone’s kids -- if they are healthy, educated, and ready to give something back to the world -- then we get it right with everything.” -Peter Rugg The New York Community Trust

Thankful Hearts, Full Bellies: Barebones and Tifie brought Thanksgiving Lunch to the Roots Students.

“Food is one of the simplest yet most meaningful ways we can connect with another human being. It surpasses every barrier possible; race, religion, culture, politics, class, gender and age. There are few things better than the joy that comes from providing a hearty meal cooked with love and watching the gratitude of all who are f illed by it.”- Ann Merrill, VP of Product at Bare Bones

FROM UTAH TO NEPAL: ONE FAMILY MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

SPECIAL VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT

The Moir family raised over $1,000 for #SafeShelterNepal in August by selling cinnamon rolls in their community.

This is the Moir’s story - what’s yours?

When I heard mothers had to deliver their babies on the streets, that broke my heart. I felt a connection to these woman; we are both trying to do the same thing, love and nurture our children.

If you have a desire to help and you’re not sure where to start, simply begin by opening your eyes and ears, there are opportunities everywhere!

“We learned how exciting it is to do something good as a family that can make a difference for others. Just begin by taking that f irst step forward!”- The Moir Family
