STEP 1 After unpacking lockers, align left to right with multiple door side opening facing you as pictured under STEP 5 to the right.

STEP 2 Bolt lockers together in four places on the front and back as shown in DETAIL A.

Evidence Locker Installation Instructions

STEP 3 If the sides of the locker will be visible, install the evidence end trim panels. End panel installation instructions are on page 8.

STEP 4 If end trim was ordered for a recessed locker, clamp the vertical trim components keeping the trim flush and centered with the front of the lockers.

STEP 5Attaching trim with no end panels - To attach the trim to the frame, drill 3/16” holes in the locker frame to match the holes in the vertical trim. Use the included sheet metal screws to attach the trim to the frame.

If you are attaching trim with end panels, see Steps 6 & 7. If you are not using end panels move on to STEP 8.

STEP 6 Attaching trim with end panels - If end panels were installed per instructions on page 8, drill holes in the end panels to match the holes in the trim sections.

STEP 7 If either the front or rear of the locker will be proud of the wall, adjust the location of the recessed trim so that it will be flush with the wall and present a finished appearance. Secure the trim with provided sheet metal screws.

STEP 8 Install the top trim angle by drilling 1/8” holes in the horizontal trim angle and securing it with the included 3/4” socket head cap screws.

STEP 9If the run of lockers is longer than 72”, repeat STEP 7 using the included adder trim kit.

STEP 10 If applicable, field cut the trim to length as needed using tin snips.

STEP 11Slide the lockers into the wall opening until the trim is flush against the wall. At this point, the recessed trim can be installed on the rear side of the locker.

STEP 12Check lockers for plumb and level. If required, level lockers following the instructions on page 9.

STEP 13Once the lockers are plumb and level, field drill two 3/16” holes through the frame. See DETAIL B. Anchor the lockers to wall or, if the situation provides, to a wall stud (hardware not included).

7

TOP/BOTTOM TRIM ANGLE

STEP 14If desired, drill holes through the bottom shelf for anchoring to the floor (hardware not included).

STEP 15 Test all doors for correct operation. If there are any issues with the keyless lift latch, see pages 10-11 for troubleshooting instructions.

End Panel Installation Instructions

STEP 1 Ensure the frame is clean and dry to promote good adhesion between the end panel and locker.

STEP 2 Apply primer where the adhesive will contact the frame.

IMPORTANT – Make sure to use the primer in the hardware pack to ensure a good bond between end trim panel and the locker frame.

STEP 3 Remove the backing from the tape on the end panel and press firmly into place ensuring that the end panel is properly located.

Leveling an Evidence Locker

STEP 1 Look at the access holes on the hinge side of the locker to determine what type of screw was used to attach it to the wall or the next locker. See PHOTO 1. For new construction the lockers should not be attached to the walls yet.

STEP 3 Place the thin tapered edge of the shim directly under the hinge side of the locker and begin tapping on it with the hammer. Frequently check for plumb and level during this step. See PHOTO 2.

PHOTO 1The red circles show where the lockers

are bolted together or to the wall.

PHOTO 2

STEP 4 Stop shimming when the locker is plumb and level.

STEP 5When the locker is correctly shimmed, break off the excess shim and discard the left over piece.

STEP 6Tighten up the screws in the frame that were loosened in STEP 2 or attach the locker to the wall.

STEP 7 If the keyless lift latches do not function correctly see pages 10-11 for troubleshooting instructions.

STEP 2 Using the appropriate driver, loosen the screws if applicable.

9

Keyless Lift Latch Adjustment

STEP 1 Make sure locker is plumb and level. See page 9 for instructions on leveling a locker. Check doors and locks after shimming to see if that was the issue.

STEP 2 Ensure that the doors did not shift or sag during shipping by examining the gap between the door and frame. If this is the issue, see pages 12-14 for door adjustment instructions.

PHOTO 1

STEP 3If the locking rod and door are not the problem, use a 7/16” nut driver to loosen the bolts that hold the lock in place. See PHOTO 2.

PHOTO 2

PHOTO 3

STEP 4Make sure the lock is all the way forward, there is not much forward movement. See PHOTO 3.

STEP 5If the lock will not release raise the lock up.

STEP 6 If the lock will not engage push the lock down.

STEP 7Tighten down the bolts loosened in STEP 4 and check the function of the locks.

STEP 8Repeat STEPS 4-6 if more adjustment is needed.

STEP 9 Test several times to ensure that the lock is working consistently.

STEP 10Double check the tightness of the lock bolts.

Adjusting or Replacing Door or Components

STEP 1 Drill a hole in the plastic covers on the inside of the door big enough so that the tip of a flat blade screwdriver will fit.

STEP 2Put the tip of the screw driver in the hole and pry the plastic cover off exposing the PEMs and nuts underneath. See PHOTO 1.

PHOTO 1

STEP 3 Remove the 3/8” nuts that hold the cover on the door with the nut driver. See PHOTO 2.

PHOTO 2

STEP 4 Close the door halfway and the spring will pull the cover off. Then, angle the front end of the cover off of the studs and pull it back over the lock latch rod. Carefully place the cover in the locker to prevent damage. See PHOTO 3.

STEP 5Remove the 3/8” locknuts holding the hinge cap on. Remove the hinge cap and any washers that may be on the PEM studs. Make a note of the washer location then set them aside with thehinge cap. See PHOTO 4.

PHOTO 4

STEP 6The door can be removed by partially closing it and then pulling the door off of the hinge rod. See PHOTO 5.

PHOTO 5

STEP 7When replacing the door make sure that the thin black spacer is on the top of the door. It will most likely have to be pushed to the top of the door during re-assembly. See PHOTOS 6 & 7.

STEP 8Replace any washers that may have been on the PEM studs, then install the hinge rod cover and locknuts. Do not overtighten the locknuts as this will make small dents in the door. See PHOTO 8.

STEP 9Make sure that the gap between the door and frame is consistent on the top and bottom of the door. If necessary, slightly loosen the nuts tightened in STEP 8 and adjust the door to achieve a consistent gap. Re-tighten the nuts when the door is correctly positioned.

STEP 10Close the door and test the latch before putting the cover back on.

STEP 11Close the door halfway and replace the door cover by placing it over the latch rod and then the PEM studs. STEP 12Tighten the locknuts and install the new plastic caps in the access holes. See PHOTO 9.
