Purpose
• To see how position, velocity, and acceleration are connected

Theory
• The tickertape apparatus can produce 60 dots or (ticks) in one second.
• This means that the there is one tick every 1/60th of a second
• By measuring the position from the origin of every 10 ticks, a position time graph can be made.
• Note: 10 ticks = 0.1 seconds

Apparatus
• Ticker tape timer
• Carbon Paper
• 50 g mass
• Masking tape
• Metre stick
• Graph Paper

Procedure
1)Create your data
2) Using the data from the table make a position-time graph3) Calculate the velocity for each time interval
4) Using this data, create a velocity-time graph
5) Take the slope of the velocity-time graph
