Installation

TIBCO provides downloadable product archive files and the products can be installed using TIBCOUniversal Installer.

Extract the product archive file to a temporary directory and then run the TIBCO Universal Installerexecutable from that directory.

If installing more than one product, you can extract multiple product archive files to the sametemporary directory and then run TIBCO Universal Installer.

The installer allows you to run in one of the following modes: GUI, console, or silent, which areavailable on all platforms.

Once you launch the installer, you must specify the installation directory and select an installationprofile. If installing for the first time, create a new installation directory. For subsequent installations, you can choose to either use an existing installation directory or create a new one. On MicrosoftWindows, the default installation directory is c:\Program Files\tibco. You can choose to customizeyour installation if needed.

Installation ModesThe installer allows you to install in one of the following modes: GUI, console, or silent. Each mode issupported on all platforms.

● If no response file has been recorded earlier and you invoke the installer with the -silentargument, the default installation parameters are used.

● If a response file exists, and the installer is started with using the arguments -silent -VresponseFile="<responseFileName>", the installer uses the values specified in the response file.
