LISA TREMBLAY | I am a second-generation purebred dog breeder growing up around many different breeds, participating in

junior handling and working for professional handlers in the summertime.

In 1979 my Mom brought home our family’s first Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, Westland’s Tara Shamrock from Patricia Godfrey, Yakima Washington. Not long after arrived Am. Can. Westland’s Button Bows. Pippin was a multi-group placer and a champion on both sides of the border. We bred Pippin in 1985 to

Ch. Kenwoods Whitecrest Mac Brady, and received our first homebred champion, Ch. Westlands Feldhund Angie, multigroup placer and my juniors dog. Over the past 20 years I have shown several wheatens for clients on the west coast and mentored other new owners wishing to groom and show their dogs.

In 2002 I travelled to the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier National with Trudie Forbes with a male and female bred by Vivienne Lindsay. I won the national with the male (owned by Pat Mullin) and Trudie’s female went best of opposite. I now own hounds and poodles but I will always have a special love for Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers.
