Appreciating Chief Minister,Mehbooba Mufti for releasingadditional funds for develop-ment of Raghunath Bazaar,Priya Sethi appealed thatother connecting bazaars alsoneed similar preference so thattheir aesthetics is maintained.
"There are homes and tem-ples on this stretch whosearchitecture resembles that ofMubarak Mandi and SheeshMahal. This is why the entirestretch should be declared as
historic," she added.While interacting with repre-
sentatives of all bazaars afterinspecting preparedness forinstallation of statue of RajaJambulochan at PuraniMandi, the former ministersaid that during the era oferstwhile Maharaja, the Kingof Jammu used to tread thispath on elephants and horsesright up to Mubarak Mandiand that makes it a perfectplace to be declared asHeritage Bazaar.
The representatives of allBazaars including PuraniMandi Association, CityChowk Association, Raj TilakRoad Association, OldHospital Road Association,residents of Old City and oth-ers demanded that entirestretch should be declared asHeritage and developedaccordingly.

SRINAGAR: Police on Wednesday solved two kidnappingcases and recovered the abducted girls.
According to report, Police Station Kokernag received acomplaint from one person stating therein that hisdaughter in law was abducted by the accused fromSonabrari Kokernag on December 22, 2017 from herhome.
In this regard, a case FIR No 231/2017 under Section366-RPC was registered.
On June 1, 2018, another written complaint wasreceived by Police Station Kokernag by Begum Jan, wifeof Shareef Bimla that her daughter (name withheld) wasabducted by one person from her home on May 30, 2018.
In this regard, a case FIR No 73/2018 under Section366-RPC registered in Police Station Kokernag.
During the course of investigation, police constituted aspecial team headed by SHO Police Station Kokernag.
After strenuous efforts, both the girls were recoveredand the accused persons were arrested from a far flungarea of district Anantnag.
After completions of legal formalities, both the girlswere handed over to their legal heirs.

RAMBAN: Checking squad comprising officers and officials ofPollution Control Board Ramban, Forest Protection Force andMunicipality Committee Ramban conducted market checking inRamban town and seized about 16 kg of banned polythene carrybags from shopkeepers, fruit and vegetable vendors.
The team also checked the rates of fruits, vegetables, milk, gen-eral stores, dhabas and other eatables besides inspecting the qual-ity of these commodities. Officers warned the unscrupuloustraders to desist from using unfair trade practices, overchargingand stressed for maintaining sanitation and display of rate listand stickers. They also appealed to the consumers to remain vig-ilant while purchasing the commodities.
The shopkeepers were also instructed to abstain from use ofbanned polythene carry bags below 50 microns in thickness andwarned for action if such violations are observed in future.
