Thursday 7 December 2017 Dear Parents & Friends of Kuyper,
Lime green is getting a lot of publicity here at Kuyper with many people asking what all the fuss is about Lime and Limelight. Well…you may notice that the colour of the cross in our School logo is Lime green. This cross represents Jesus and what He has done for us. The Bible refers to Jesus as the light of the world on a number of occasions. John 8:12 says: - “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” The School’s vision for the past 35 years has been to be a place that recognises Jesus’ rightful place as Lord of Kuyper Christian School and the universe. A place where learning is revealed to students in the light of God’s word. Our Limelight event this week seeks to celebrate the light of life that we share together acknowledging Jesus’ coming to earth with a redemptive, saving plan for His people. In doing this we focus the Limelight on Him. Thank you to all parents, students and staff who made the event a special time for the Kuyper community. The performances and stalls were well received by those I have spoken to. In addition, we appreciate those who became drenched for the cause; working under difficult, wet conditions to mop up after the evening suddenly concluded. The evening moved from celebration to adventure serving together. I recently received a wonderful Christmas card from a Kuyper family. The front cover of the card said: - “A star proclaims to seeking hearts, The Light has come, the night departs; the One who made each galaxy now shines with hope for all to see!” May the glorious light of Christ’s love, hope, and grace fill your Christmas with rejoicing! Staff Farewells
The Kuyper community would like to thank staff who are leaving us this year.
We thank them for their contribution, serving the school: -
Carolyn Smith, Anna Robertson, Josh Wilson, Annelise Van den Elzen and Kim Bates
We pray that God will continue to use them in His service wherever they may be.
We have been blessed by their ministry among us.
Staff will formally say farewell this Friday at their Christmas luncheon.
Students
There are several students who have recently come to the end of their schooling at Kuyper to take
on employment in the Hawkesbury district.
We wish these boys well as they pursue apprenticeships in a range of important trades.
May they live their learning, keeping Jesus in the limelight as they embark on this next stage of life.
We pray for Jesse, Lachlan, Jake and Benny as they take on these new challenges.

Dear Parents, As a school, we regularly seek your feedback on how we are going. This is not only something all schools are compelled to do but something we desire to do as we seek to grow our school in ways that support the school’s original vision and the needs of families today. Please spend a few moments completing this online Parent Survey by following this link
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C8RPFMZ. Your answers will assist us in our planning for the future and understanding of our present performance. I welcome your questions and conversation. In addition to the survey, you are always welcome to see me in person, at a convenient time to share your views, joys and journey at Kuyper. By His grace, Ian Shaw
