Her rich voice packs lyrics with emotion and joy. 12.30-2pm, The Moffat House Hotel, Tickets £10 HAMISH McGREGOR PLAYS ACKER BILK Edinburgh clarinettist and long time Acker Bilk fan, Hamish McGregor plays a special tribute to the clarinet maestro Acker Bilk. His band features Colin Steele and Dave Batchelor. 3-4.30pm, The Moffat House Hotel, Tickets £10 STEPHANIE TRICK & PAOLO ADLERIGHI Dazzling stride, ragtime and boogie woogie piano from husband and wife team: American Stephanie Trick and Italian Paolo Alderighi. Both play solo then an amazing four-hands, one-piano grand finale. 5.30-7pm, The Moffat House Hotel, Tickets £10 jazz SUNDAY IN MOFFAT TAKE PART THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA Thanks to the generous support of the Holywood Trust and the Robertson Trust the Festival will again feature the Youth Jazz Orchestra, which is made up of pupils from local schools on Saturday 26th September in Lockerbie Town Hall. We welcome any school age pupils who can play their instruments – rehearsals will take place in Lockerbie Academy on 9th, 16th, 23rd September from 4–6pm, under the directorship of renowned educators Richard Michael and Richard Ingham. To join the orchestra, please contact your music teacher. Further performances will take place after the festival in Annan, Moffat and Dumfries. JAZZ SINGERS WORKSHOPS Sue McHugh and Campbell Normand will again offer a jazz singers workshop on Saturday 26th September from 11am in The Little Theatre Lockerbie. Pupils will learn about key choice, timing, phrasing, song selection, working with a band and microphone technique.
