CONGRATULATIONS to Ivy in Year 10 for winning one of the categories in the Young Reporter Scheme 2020: Since the launch of this year's project at LPGS in the Autumn Term, Ivy has written and submitted 8 articles to NewsQuest. This is a tough project to get through, especially in light of the recent events we have faced, so huge congratulations Ivy!

Duttee Chand (born 1996) is an Indian professional sprinter and current national champion in the women’s 100 metre event. She is the third Indian woman to ever qualify for the Women's 100 metres event at the Summer Olympic Games. Chand clinched silver in women's 100m at the Jakarta Asian Games. It was India's first medal in this event since 1998. In 2019, she became the first Indian sprinter to win gold at the Universiade, clocking 11.32 seconds in the 100m race.Dutee is also India's first athlete to openly come out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, when she spoke about being in a same-sex relationship in 2019. AYO is a new digital Arts magazine which aims tocelebrate the Arts within Langley Park Girls Schooland the Arts within the wider community. It willfocus on aspects of Dance, Drama, Fine Art,Literature, Music, Media and Photography.
AYO is a collaborative project through which weaim to give our students a platform in order toshare their opinions, ideas and experiences basedon the Arts.
We are currently looking to recruit a team of students to help run future editions of AYO – we are looking for – EDITORS –JOURNALISTS – PHOTOGRAPHERS/VIDEOGRAPHERS
We are also looking for articles from students, staff and parents to feature in our first online edition of Ayo in July 2020
