Thrust Vector Actuation Systems
For over 30 years, Honeywell has
developed Thrust Vector Actuation (TVA)
systems for missiles, launch vehicles
and spacecraft. Our TVA systems have
a long history of flight proven success,
with reliable blow-down hydraulic TVA
and high performance electro-mechanical
actuation products designed to exceed
our customer’s mission assurance
objectives. Our products provide critical
support to many production and
advanced technology development
programs, with installations that include
Space Shuttle main engine, Shuttle
maneuvering engines, X-34, Ground-
Based Midcourse Defense (GMD)
booster, Taurus, Athena, Peacekeeper
and SR-19 Launch Vehicles. Delivering
precision control, reliable performance
and affordability ensures that Honeywell
Thrust Vector Actuation Systems provide
a superior value to our customers.
Each Honeywell Thrust Vector Actuation
system is delivered as a modular kit,
which simplifies installation by providing
all TVA system hardware. A typical
system kit includes the Electronic Control
Unit (ECU), actuators, and any tanks,
hoses, mounting brackets or wiring
harnesses that are necessary for TVA
system installation.
