The Wellpro Group Flow Release Pulling Tool (GS) is a reliable and cost effective means of retrieving tools with an internal ‘GS’ style fishing neck.

The tool can be utilised by setting down weight to engage fish allowing the weight applied to the tool to overcome the internal spring force. To release the overshot from the fish simply apply down weight on the BHA while circulating at a pre-determined flow rate through the tool.

The tool can also be operated by circulating at a pre-determined flow rate through an adjustable orifice. This creates an internal pressure that activates an unbalanced piston allowing the spear grapple to become de-supported prior to entering the fish. This method also allows for jetting to clean fish area.

Specifications and features• Hydraulically activated• High strength for jarring operations• Means of engaging, locating and pulling on standard, internal fishing necks • Variety of nozzle sizes to suit specific flow rates and operating parameters• Simple robust design

Hydraulic Pipe Cutter

The Wellpro Group Hydraulic Tubing Cutter is a device used to cut production tubing, casing and drill pipe. The tool provides a safe alternative to chemical and explosive cutters. It is typically run in conjunction with Wellpro Groups Hydraulic Tubing Anchor and Positive Displacement Downhole Motor.

Flow through the tool creates the internal pressure required to shift the dual piston and blade cams which force the cutter blades to expand outwards. Jets help to clean the cut area whilst cooling the cutter blades. Upon completion of the cut a pressure drop indication may be witnessed. At this point flow is ceased and a compression spring forces the dual piston back to its starting position.

Pipe cutter blades can be dressed with a variety of cutting structures to suit the particular size and grade of tubular to be cut.

Specifications and features• Activation fluid is diverted up the tool to flush and assist with the cut• Knives are dressed with premium coated machine tool inserts enabling a fast and clean cut for various grades and specifications of tubing• Blades fully retracted and retained within the tool
