On Tuesday, July 10, 2012 St. Claire Regional had a graduation party for participants who completed the Cooper/Clayton Smoking Cessation 13 week program. All participants received free nicotine replacement products and education to help them make the journey from smoker to non-smoker. The nicotine supplements were provided through a KY-ASAP grant, Rowan Co. Health Department and St. Claire Foundation. At the end of the program, the participants each received a gift and certificate of achievement. Overall program evaluations were very positive and a monthly smoking cessation support group meeting will continue the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. beginning August 7th in the St. Claire Regional medical library.

St. Claire Regionail Employee Health still has free nicotine supplements available, provided you sign up and attend, the Cooper/Clayton Smoking Cessation Classes. If you are interested in the program or for more information, please contact, Irene Williams, LPN, Employee Health Coordinator at ext. 6649 or (606)207-9944.

Cooper-Clayton Smoking Cessation Program

Healthier Tomorrows Beginning November 20, 2008

STAFF REMINDER: SCR Is a Tobacco-Free FacilitySCR Staff are reminded that in the interest of the health and well-being of our patients, visitors and staff, we ask that staff refrain from smoking on our campus which also includes our parking lots.

The St. Claire Foundation Courtyard is a location for patients, visitors and staff to relax without the concern of second-hand smoke. A transitional smoking area is located adjacent to the physician parking lot in the rear of the building.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
