Others say it’s a LIFESTYLE…

Some say it’s SIMPLE…

Others say it’s

COMPLEX…

Some people are

FANATICAL

about it…

Others call it an OBSESSION…

Some say its about

EATING LIKE OUR

ANCESTORS…

Others say it’s about EVOLUTION…

Some say its about ENLIGHTENMENT…

…and some say it’s about WORLD PEACE…

…and others say that’s being NAÏVE…

But everyone will agree…

That it is has something to do with FOOD…

that is,everyone but ME…

So what do I say macrobiotics is really about?

…of course, food is a part of it,

but what is it really about?

I say it’s about DEATH…

avoiding UNNECESSARY DEATH…

and living to a RIPE OLD AGE…

And to live successfully in ournatural environment we must:

1. Pay attention to it2. Adjust ourselves to it3. Work together with it4. And, most of all, BE IN

HARMONY with it through our ACTIONS and FOOD choices.

Otherwise it will destroy us

The SECOND thing thatmatters most is

the SECOND most powerfulthing on earth.

Can you guess what it is?

it is US…you and me

…we HUMAN BEINGS

I can control myself, but I can’t control you

And to live successfully with you I must:

1. Pay attention to you

2. Be flexible and adjust to your needs

3. Work together with you

4. And, most of all, BE IN HARMONY with YOU through my ACTIONS and my FOOD choices.

Otherwise we may destroy each other

To summarize:

• I have NO control over NATURE – it controls me

• I have SOME control over PEOPLE– I control myself and you can influence me and I

can influence you

• But, I have FULL control over ME…

…and through my actions and what I eatI can live and be in harmony with NATURE

…and through my actions and what I eatI can live and be in harmony with PEOPLE

And by eating well and staying healthy I can:

1. Be more sensitive and attentive2. Be more flexible3. Be more open and cooperative4. And, most of all, BE IN

HARMONY with NATURE and with YOU

And therefore LIVE LONGER

And that is why FOOD is so important.
