Esteemed Pediatricians: The Board of Directors of Confederación Nacional de Pediatría de México A.C. extends you the warmest welcome to the XXXII National Pediatrics Congress, the country’s largest pediatrics event. The congress will be held between the 27th and 30th of April 2012, in the modern installations of the International Exposition and Convention Center located in the Mexico City’s WTC

We have designed an excellent program to suit the highest academic standards, with 40 highly qualified professors from around the world, and 200 national professors, each expert in one of the pediatrics themes, which will be covered during the event. As per the board’s decision, the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital (an academic partner and one of the United States’ most prestigious pediatrics hospitals), will be this congress’ hosting institution.

During the inauguration ceremony, due tribute will be paid to Dr. Salvador Guerra Jiménez, a distinguished member of our organization and former president of both Conapeme and ALAPE. We will also be paying a posthumous tribute to the acclaimed Dr. Amapola Adell Gras in the Child Care module. The Organizing Committee would like to recognize the support of the Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Industry in helping achieve their goals for this congress. Being host to many cultural events, Mexico City is a gathering point for the nation’s various cultural and ethnic identities, which form part of Mexico’s heritage.

Regardless of being the country’s most extensive urban zone, cultural expressions dating back millennia sit right besides modern urban constructions in Mexico City.

SALVADOR GUERRA JIMÉNEZOn the 27th of April, during the inauguration ceremony of this year’s congress, we will be paying tribute to Dr. Salvador Guerra Jiménez, in recognition for his brilliant work as a Confederación Nacional de Pediatría de México A.C. member. We will be honoring Dr. Salvador Guerra Jiménez’s contribution as a founding member of the Central Western Federation and State College of his native state, as well as his excellent performance as a doctor, pediatrician, director and civil servant.

The Confederación Nacional de Pediatría de México A.C. will also be giving homage to Dr. Amapola Adell Grass on the 29th of April, 2012 in the Olmeca 4 hall between 8:00 AM and 10.30 AM during the Child Care Forum.

DR. Amapola Adell Grass is recognized for being a cherished human being, an excellent pediatrician and a great friend of the Confederación Nacional de Pediatría de México A.C.. She passed away on September 15, 2011.
