Inter-School Sport: On Friday we played our first Round of ISS. Next Week: Home game against Reservoir East
Regional Athletics: Last Wednesday we had five students compete
at Regional Athletics Carnival. Our students competed against a very tough field and performed at their very best. Congratulations to Vicson, who once again qualified for State in the 100m and 200m. We wish him all the very best for when he competes on Monday, the 30th of October.
And remember……
If you want to improve, surround yourself with people who challenge you!
Food Justice Truck
The Food Justice Truck will no longer be visiting Thomastown PS. Unfortu-
nately we no longer have enough community members using the service.

Families Leaving TPS in 2018
Please notify the school office if your family will not be attending Thomastown PS in 2018 . We
will soon be beginning our planning for 2018 and it is essential that we know how many stu-
dents will not be with us next year.
Families Travelling Overseas in December/January
If you are organising a family holiday over December/January, please note that students need
to have attended school before Wednesday 28th February 2018.
Schools receive no funding for the entire 2018 school year for any student who has not attended
school before Wednesday 28th February 2018.
NO HAT = NO PLAY The TPS School Uniform Policy and the TPS SunSmart Policy were revised in 2016 to reflect the changes to the Anti Cancer Council’s changed recommendations . This means that all students and staff must wear a sunhat in the schoolyard as of Monday 4th September. Students must wear the school’s broad brimmed sunhat whenever they are in the school yard, including during Physical Education and sport sessions. Students who do not have a broad brimmed hat will be directed to shaded areas of the school yard during recess and lunch times. Baseball type caps are not suitable for wearing at school as they do not provide protection from the sun for a child’s ears and back of the neck and they are not part of the TPS approved student uniform. Approved school sunhats are available from the school office or at Northern Regional Uniforms at a cost of $15.
