A GREAT BIG THANK YOU ………to all who supported, attended or contributed in some way to the success of our
9th Annual Social and Fundraiser at Chris Madrid’s Celebrating our 10th Anniversary of the TJHS Lasso Alumni Association
Our Social was a HUGE success all because of you!
First and foremost, we would like to thank Diana Madrid and Chris Madrid’s staff for supporting and hosting our Fundraiser for all these years. A special THANK YOU to the founding members of the Lasso Alumni Association because without their passion and perseverance, we wouldn’t be here today. To the 24 New Lasso Alumni Association members and most especially to our newest lifetime member, Nancy Ehrlich Ozuna who funded a special scholarship in her sister’s name, Jo Ann Ehrlich Dickinson, founding member and first treasurer. All who attended had fun renewing friendships, reminiscing, socializing and remembering those who impacted the Lassos and their traditions. We had 10 great raffle prizes that were awarded to the following winners; Gina Leonard, Connie Turner for Carrera Optical, Joe and Marilyn Flores, Vic York, Anthony Bomba, Ozuna Family, Peggy Kondoff, Ozuna Family, Susie Mendoza and Adelfa Reyna. With your contributions, we will be able to;
Award 5 college scholarships in the amount of $1500 each Award financial assistance for the incoming Lassos that qualify Purchase new full uniforms Pay for 13 girls camp cost Supply Lasso ropes and more…
Thank you to all for helping every girl realize
her Lasso dream!

LAA 9th Annual Chris Madrid Social and Fundraiser
On the beautiful evening of April 5, 2017 Lasso Alumni members and supporters gathered to socialize and honor the founding sisters of the Lasso Alumni Association. The Association was formed in 2007 by a group of visionaries whose goal was to revitalize the Lasso organization by providing financial support for young girls with the dream of becoming a Lasso. Ten years later the LAA has grown stronger through your support and participation. We had a record turnout! Everyone enjoyed the food, camaraderie and extras like the Picture Frame Booth for fun snapshots. We had wonderful sponsors who provided fabu-lous raffle prizes. Our special thanks to Chris Madrid’s for their continued support! We thank everyone who attended and made this an ex-tra special event!
We honored the late Jo Ann Ehrlich Dickinson as she was LAA’s first Treasurer and Lifetime member.
Jo Ann Ehrlich Dickinson’s Mother and Sisters honored us with their presence. In addition, the family donated $1,500 to establish a scholarship in Jo Ann’s memory.
Thank you to some of the LAA’s Founding Sisters! Pictured from left to right below are: Susie Hollingsworth ‘72, Marilyn Pfeiffer ‘73, Leticia Van de Putte’73, Barbara McDowell ‘73 and Diana Sharp Everett ‘73.

The LAA would like to give a Big Thank You to everyone who donated during the Big Give. Because of your generosity we raised over $4,000 that will be used to help the current Lassos with uniforms, camp, competi-tions and scholarships. Donations came from across Texas and even as far away as New York. Several families gave in honor of their deceased loved ones. Donation amounts ranged from $5-$300. Next year please reach out to your fellow Lasso supporters and remind them how easy it is to donate to the Big Give. Every donation is greatly appreciated!

We students of old Jefferson, behind our Mustangs stand. They always fight with all their might for our old school so grand. We love you dear old Jefferson and we love our Mustangs too.
We’ll always stand beside you, in whatever you may do.
We students of old Jefferson, behind our coaches stand. They always help our TEAMS to win their games across the land.
We’re proud of dear old Jefferson, and of our coaches too. We’ll do our best to cheer them on and bring those Mustangs
through.
We students of old Jefferson, behind our honor stand. We love the Red, we love the Blue, we love our school so grand.
We’ll fight for dear old Jefferson and never let her down. Of all the schools in all the world, NO FINER WILL BE FOUND!
