ELEPHANTS DON’T FORGET Elephant’s walking along the trails Are holding hands by holding tails. Baby elephant’s trunk begins to slip, Mama elephant says “Don’t forget to grip.” Baby elephant. And elephants walk and feel so gay. And when they walk it never fails They’re holding hands by holding tails. Week of 6/18 This week’s theme: Elephants E 5 LITTLE ELEPHANTS 5 little elephants went out to play. Over the hills and far away. Mama elephant said, “Don’t forget to come back.” But only 4 came trudging back. Repeat for 4, 3, 2, 1 Mama elephant cried, “Now we can’t be a pack.” And all 5 little elephants came trudging back. THE ELEPHANT The elephant goes like this and that (On all fours, moving around slowly, like an elephant) He’s very, very big, (Standing up, reach arms high) And he’s very, very fat. (Stretch arms out to the sides, to show how fat elephant is) He probably wouldn’t make a very good pet. (wag finger “no-no”) But he never never never never ever forgets. (point to head) He has no fingers, (Fisted hands, hiding fingers) He has no toes, (Wiggle toes) But goodness gracious, What a nose! (Thumb to nose and wiggle fingers, as if extending trunk) AN ELEPHANT GOES LIKE THIS AND THAT An elephant goes like this and that He’s terribly big, and he’s terribly fat He has no fingers, he has no toes, But goodness gracious, what a nose!
