5 Simple Ways You Can Make This Lesson Stick With Your Kids THIS WEEK’S LESSON: 3 MUSKETEERS CANDY BARS: 3 MUSKETEERS IN THE CAR: Ask your child what they learned about this week on the drive home: Today we talked about 3 Musketeers and the importance of standing together. It is wise to stand up with our Christian brothers and sisters so we can find strength and courage from one another. Daniel 3:8-30, The Fiery Furnace HANGING OUT: Make this week’s lesson real: Find a task or an activity that you and the kids can only do together, something you can’t do on your own. It can be a fun activity or a home improvement project. Ask the kids how working together made that activity go better than doing it alone. AT DINNER: Here are some great discussion starters: - Who made a stand against King Nebuchadnezzar and his unfair laws? - How did having friends to stand with make a difference for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego? - Why is it important to have good Christian friends? AT BEDTIME: Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33 (NIV) PARENT TIME: What you need to know: God didn’t make us to be lone rangers, but to live and serve in community. How active is your family within the church? Don’t do life alone. Be part of God’s family so you can draw strength from good friends and be strength for others.
