A Promise of God
The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love;

Growth Groups and Wednesday night meals resume
THIS Wednesday, September 6
Chancel Choir is back at 7:30pm weekly
Growth Groups and Wednesday night fellowship meals are starting this Wednesday. On the menu is hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, baked beans, coleslaw and salad bar. Kids will have the same. The cost is $3 for adults and youth. $1 for children. The fellowship meal starts at 5:30pm with Growth Groups at 6:30pm. Chancel Choir meets at 7:30pm.
Here are the exciting, new classes that are planned:
Men’s Bible Study: Teacher, Howard Rennecker, Community Room A. The class presents the Bible chronologically from Genesis to Revelation, training believers to know, obey and defend God's Word. They are currently at the book of Samuel. Book is $5.
Moses: In the Footsteps of the Reluctant Prophet: Teacher, Pastor Greg, Community Room B. Through weekly video segments filmed primarily in Egypt and the Sinai, historical information, archaeological data and the biblical text, Adam Hamilton guides us in the footsteps of this reluctant prophet. Moses grew in his relationship with God and by the end of life had successfully fulfilled the role he was given. Optional book is $15.
The Great Divorce: Teacher, Julie Oestreich, Wesley Room. Can’t make the Holy Land trip next year? Consider a bus ride from hell to heaven with master guide C.S. Lewis. Join the class for an audio presentation of The Great Divorce, an allegorical journey through our ultimate destinations. Book purchase and homework are optional. No passport required.
Of Mess and Moxie: Teacher, Emily Sevits, Room 105. In her new book, Jen Hatmaker returns with another round of hilarious tales, shameless honesty and hope for the woman who has forgotten her moxie. She shows how you can choose to live undaunted “in the moment” no matter what the moments hold, and lead vibrant, courageous, grace-filled lives. Book is $15.
All Things New: Teacher, Connie Gallaher, Room 106. Kelly Minter will lead you through the Letter of 2 Corinthians, exploring the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening wide your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships and what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant. Book is $13.
Second Breakfast Bible Study meets Wednesdays at 10:30am. The teacher is Dede Newcomb. This class is also studying “All Things New” and meets in Room 105. Grab a brochure located on the table in the narthex for more information on each class. Pick a group and plan on keeping your mind healthy through one of these studies. Classes for children and youth are available as well.
