COOKIE SALE TO COMBAT WORLD HUNGER Your generous purchase of
cookies last weekend will make a difference in our world! As of our printing
deadline, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish has raised $10,440, which
translates to 261,000 meals for hungry children in Haiti. When everything is
said and done, we can expect to have raised approximately $11,000, or
275,000 meals. Thanks to parishioner Marleen Karns for the update!
SPIRITUAL BOOK GROUP Looking for great discussions about the journey
of Christianity throughout the world? The StEAS Spiritual Book Group is
where open discussion and insights are drawn from each reader’s
interpretations of the text. Reading enthusiasts of all ages are welcome! The
next discussion is Tuesday, January 2, at 7 pm in Room 10—Life of Christ, by
the legendary Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. Contact: Julie 717-580-8554.
ARE YOUR GIFTS HOSPITALITY AND MAKING SURE THINGS RUN
SMOOTHLY? You may not always notice our ushers (they don’t call attention
to themselves), but they do a tremendous amount to enhance our worship
experience. Right now, we have one opening for the 9 am Mass on Sundays.
Contact: Bob Gaumer, 717- 766-2396. Men and women are invited to serve.
TRIVIA NIGHT JANUARY 13 AT 7 PM Pick up a registration form at
Connections Corner, or visit www.steas.net/bulletin and download the insert
from last week’s Seton Sunday. The basics are: You need a team of 4 to 6
players; registration is $12 per person; registration deadline is Friday, January
5 (to make sure we have supplies for all); and there’s food and BYOB. It’s a fun
evening of friendly competition, followed by forehead slapping when you
hear the “obvious” answer that was just on the tip of your tongue!
FAITH MATTERS MORNING Our Scripture study of The Gospel of John is
pausing for Christmas. JOIN US on Wednesday, January 3, at 9:30 am in the
Bayley Room as we resume with The Good Shepherd, The Father and I Are

remaining sessions, as we explore the original intention and continuing
message of this important but often difficult book of the Bible. Contact:
Deacon David L. Hall, 717-471-3388, [email protected].

SEASONS OF HOPE Each
year, many families face
the loss of loved ones, and
immediately afterwards
often experience an
outpouring of caring and
support. Seasons of Hope
continues that caring spirit into the difficult and
sometimes lengthy period that follows—when
grief can overwhelm. Jesus Christ, working
through His Church, is the source of all
consolation. Join us for the Introductory Session
on January 11 at 6:30pm in the Bayley Room.
