Theatre Ministry Spring Season

Noises OffFriday, May 18, 8:00 p.m. at A Noise Within.Tickets are $42 and available at http://qrs.ly/z66qkig. ANW’s most requested production is back: Your favorite Resident Artists, along with some new faces, are ready to rein in the chaos of this joyfully out-of-control British farce about the auspiciously titled play-within-a-play “Nothing On.” Step behind the curtain and meet the under-rehearsed and over-worked cast and crew with a penchant for drama more personal than professional. As the production progresses, the bumbling cast brings down the house—literally!

Culture Clash’s Bordertown NowFriday, June 8, 8:00 p.m. at Pasadena Playhouse.

Tickets are $40 and available at http://qrs.ly/e46qklx.

Twenty years after their searing hit “Bordertown” premiered, LA’s very own Culture Clash returns to the

southern border to investigate the state of affairs once again. Re-imagined, remixed and fully reloaded, “Bor-

dertown Now” is an irreverent look at the people at the center of one of America’s most hot-button controversial issues, and the walls that divide us all.

Infused with their trademark comedic approach, the nation’s premier Chicano/Latino performance trio joins Obie Award-winning director Diane Rodriguez to redefine the boundaries of theater and break down the divisions between cultures.

Her PortmanteauFriday, June 22, 8:00 p.m. at Theatre @ Boston Court.Tickets are $25 and available at http://qrs.ly/di6qkpu. A family rifles through their literal and emotional baggage in this taut and poignant drama about relatives, legacy, and connection. This West Coast premiere, brilliantly penned by first generation Ni-gerian-American storyteller Mfoniso Udofia, chronicles the triumphs and struggles of a tenacious family matriarch and two daughters. The mother and one of her daughters have called the United States home for many years. And the other daughter’s arrival raises heart-wrenching questions about the power of place, family bonds, and how we define our relationships over space and time.

Tickets may be purchased now through the links above or at the Sign-Up Center beginning Apr. 29. Information = Debbie Daniels, 626.583.2750 or [email protected].
