Taylor Swift uses music to shake off the things people do or say that could have the power to hurt her. We want to hear how you shake off the things that get you down in your life.

> Have your students write a one-page creative essay or poem about how they shake it off for a chance to win a meeting with Taylor Swift!

All students who are U.S. residents and currently attending a U.S. school in grades 3 through 6 are eligible to enter except employees and immediate family members of Scholastic Book Clubs or its parent company. Winners will be selected based on creativity, thoroughness, and execution. All submissions become the property of Scholastic Inc. One (1) Grand-Prize Winner will be chosen (approximate retail value: $2000.00). One (1) Second-Place Winner will be chosen (approximate retail value: $250.00). Five (5) Runners-Up will be chosen (approximate retail value: $25.00). Winners will be notified on or about January 6, 2015.
