Temple gives MUKHTHI with no rebirth to the devotees at once. It is believed that as per the

Lords words Yama and Yama Dhootas (Sentries of Lord of Death) cannot come near the temple northe devotees around the temple in a circumference of 15 kms.

Even though the deity is suyambu, the Avudayar has been installed by Bhaanasura. The
