THIRTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME JUNE 28, 2020

FROM OUR STAFF

As we know, Covid-19 has been challenging to every person, organization and business. Here at St. Timothy, we too have been challenged as individuals as well as a community and organization. We have spoken to our Parishioners over these months. Some have contracted the virus, others have lost their jobs or took pay cuts, and many feel isolated and alone. As your parish family, our staff and many volunteers have been working and continue to work tirelessly to minister to you in creative and effective ways.

The physical safety of our parishioners has

and will always be a top priority to the parish staff. As we continue to update how we provide safety for you while at the church, please be patient and understanding that we must be obedient to what is asked of us by our Bishop.

During this difficult time, financially, we

continue to evaluate our efforts to be good stewards of your faithful giving each week. Unfortunately due to the many effects of Covid-19, and in an effort to be financially responsible, Fr. John had to make the difficult decision to adjust the parish staff. We are appreciative to Bridgette Barcelo, Vickie Jennett, Lisa Law, and Carla Folz for their tremendous work as St. Timothy staff members. We wish them the very best as they move forward from our team. If you previously contacted any of these staff members for assistance, please direct communication to Debbi Mesa at 480-775-5200 to determine the new appropriate staff member who can assist you. We appreciate your patience as we work through these changes and transitions. Additionally, our Office Hours have been reduced and adjusted to better conserve our personnel resources. See the back page of the bulletin for updated hours and contact information for various departments.

Our Gift Shop is currently not open to the public, but is available for shoppers by appointment only. Please call 480-775-5224. If a staff member is not able to answer, please leave a message and she will get back to you as soon as possible.

We recognize that the financial impact of Covid- 19 has been devastating to so many of our parishioners and we are incredibly grateful to those who continue to contribute financially to the mission of St. Timothy’s. To make contributing to the parish as simple and safe as possible, we offer the following options: Online giving is available through WeShare on

our website, www.sttimothymesa.org. Click on the DONATE button .

OR simply Text to give by texting “Sttims” to 555888

On-site giving is available with five secure drop boxes, located

a. One outside between the Church and Office doors

b. Four inside the church (upstairs inside the doors, downstairs attached to the side of the main stairwells)

Brothers and sisters, let us all continue to pray

for the world in which we live and for each other. May we, as Christians, continue to be the light of Christ in the darkness that surrounds us.

PSALM 89: FOR EVER I WILL SING Music by David Mares © 2017

CREED

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven, (at the words that follow up to and including and became man, all bow)

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son, Who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, Who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

GLORIA

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will.

We praise You, we bless You, we adore You, we glorify You, We give You thanks for Your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father.

Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer;

You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.

For You alone are the Holy One, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the Glory of God the Father. Amen.

There's a place where mercy reigns and never dies, There's a place where streams of grace flow deep and wide; Where all the love I've ever found Comes like a flood, comes flowing down.

At the cross, at the cross, I surrender my life. I'm in awe of You, I'm in awe of You. Where Your love ran red, and my sin washed white. I owe all to You, I owe all to You, Jesus.

There's a place where sin and shame are powerless, Where my heart has peace with God and forgiveness; Where all the love I've ever found Comes like a flood, comes flowing down.

Here my hope is found, here on holy ground; Here I bow down, here I bow down. Here, arms open wide, here You saved my life; Here I bow down, here I bow.

SANCTUS

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory.

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.

MEMORIAL ACCLAMATION

Priest: The mystery of faith. All: We proclaim Your Death,

O Lord, and profess Your Resurrection Until you come again.

AGNUS DEI

Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world: Have mercy on us. Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world: Have mercy on us.

Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world: Grant us peace.

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramental-ly, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

RECKLESS LOVE Caleb Culver, Cory Asbury, and Ran Jackson © Watershed Publishing Group (Admin. by Watershed Music Group) / Bethel Music Publishing / Richmond Park Publishing) CCLI Song # 7089641

Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me. You have been so, so good to me. Before I took a breath, You breathed Your life in me. You have been so, so kind to me

O, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God. O, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, Leaves the ninety-nine. I couldn't earn it, I don't deserve it, Still You give Yourself away. O, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God.

When I was Your foe, still Your love fought for me. You have been so, so good to me. When I felt no worth, You paid it all for me. You have been so, so kind to me.

There's no shadow You won't light up, Mountain You won't climb up, coming after me. There's no wall You won't kick down, Lie You won't tear down, coming after me.

TAKE UP OUR CROSS Curtis Stephan, Marc Byrd, and Sarah Hart © 2008 spiritandsong.com / Meaux Mercy / Blue Raft Music (Admin. by EMI Christian Music Publishing) CCLI Song # 5358955

Behold the wood that bears our name; Behold the nails that hold our sin.

The tree from which salvation blooms; The death by which we're born again.

We take up our cross and follow Him; We lay down our lives that we might live.

We carry the hope of Christ within; We take up our cross and follow Him.

We embrace the sacrifice, And walk the path we cannot see.

The burdens of this world made light; By blood and thorn we are redeemed.

Lift Him high, lift Him high; Let His name be glorified.

Lift Him high, lift Him high; Let His name be glorified.

PRAYER TO

ST. MICHAEL

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host—by the Divine Power of God—cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

AROUND THE PARISH

CHANGES ARE COMING

TO THE BULLETIN

NEXT WEEK!

In the digital age we live, we are moving to a more paperless way of reaching our parishioners! In the

coming weeks, we will be updating our current website and social media pages

to be even more user friendly. Don’t worry, we will still have a printed

worship which will include additional information such as Mass readings,

Mass intentions, ministry events that week, and ways to contact us. We will no longer call the printed handout at

Mass a bulletin, but call it a worship aid.

PRESCHOOL & SCHOOL

Now through December 25, we are joining in a Respect Life Prayer Campaign to help promote a consistent ethic of life. As soon as we can gather together, a prayer card will be made available for you at Church entrances. Short reflections each week prayerfully chart Christ’s fetal development. Please pray daily to Christ in the womb. —God bless, Dcn. Dick, (480) 775-5271

June 28—Week 14 of Nine Months with Christ Due to Mary’s delicate little teenage frame, it has become very evident to her that she is pregnant. Inside, Jesus is developing muscles and beginning to flex his hands, legs, and wrists a lot. Jesus of the womb, Hear our prayers!
